“Get away to the mountains with a historic temple”

E-bike tour

The views were amazing from such an elevation. I went on an E-bike from town across the sandbar and then up the hill. Having a great guide was very helpful and educational. I would highly recommend this.

It is called "Nariaiji" at the 28th temple of Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage. The history and history of the temple is widely available online, and general information is cut out. The temperature is close to 38 degrees, and although the temple is located halfway up the mountain, you can still sweat. Geographically, it is the northernmost temple in Saigokufudasho. Even though it was a large bus, they pulled me up to the second parking lot under the main hall with good driving. The five-storied pagoda is fresh and has no history. Although there is only one facility in this temple that seems to be factored out, there are many word-of-mouth pages that are rambunctious, but please skip through the individual pages that don't matter and only go to this main word-of-mouth page. It is a historic temple dating back to the 700s. We were able to walk right up to the principal image and see the Kannon statue up close.

It is a historic temple dating back to the 700s. We were able to walk right up to the main statue and see the Kannon up close. From the view point, we could get a good view of Amanohashidate.

天橋立が見える御寺

Beautiful hillside temple.

Not many tourist. A peaceful place, you may take bus from the Kasamatsu Park and arrive in 7 minutes.
Be aware of the but timeable since the park close early.

古刹

歴史のある古刹である。ブラタモリでも紹介されていた。茄子のお守りもよい。お守りのお金をお盆に置いてくる。誰も見ていないので、少し心配である。

左甚五郎作「真向の龍」

笠松公園のさらに奥に位置する古刹だが、公園からはバスが出ている。7分で到着するが、本数は多くないので時間に余裕をもっておいた方がいい。山門や五重塔などいろいろな伽藍があるが、一番の見所は本堂にある左甚五郎作の「真向の龍」。

美人観音

2021年11月

天橋立ケーブルカー・リフトの笠松駅からバスで7分。
704年創建の真言宗の寺院。かつては現在よりも山の上部に位置していたが、1400年に発生した山崩れで現在地に移転。本尊は平安期に造られた聖観世音菩薩(秘仏)。西国三十三所第28番札所。本堂は1774年再建で木造銅板葺き(府指定有形文化財)。正面右寄りの壁には左甚五郎作と伝わる彫刻「真向きの龍」が掛けられている。これは龍の彫刻を依頼された甚五郎が滝壺から天に昇る龍を見て彫ったものとのこと。本尊の聖観世音菩薩は「美人観音」と呼ばれており、お参りすると美しい人となれるらしい。
