I used a tricycle from Luxor Resort to Brgy. Pingyyan at a forward journey cost of P200 though a different driver on the way back charged only P150 for the 7.5 kilometres.

A boatman was easy to arrange. Unusually, there was no second crew member. The return bangka cost P1000 to Gaspar Island, taking 13 minutes each way in benign seas.n He would have taken me to the other two islands but I was not well and on doctor's orders did not swim and so regrettably could not snorkel.

The beach at Gaspar Island is corally so bring reef shoes or other footwear that can cope with the water.

There was snorkelling about 30 metres offshore. This is reputedly good. There were two or three others doing it, so very much off the tourist track. No mainland China tour groups, thank goodness.

Locals on the beach were very friendly and did not demand an entrance fee, but accepted a donation. One lady in particular was very kind.

I would be sure the locals would cook a fish lunch if requested. Bring drinks from Gasan.

I watched some young girls creating thatch from palm leaves by interweaving. They were very skilful.

The other two islands lack beaches so I was told.

Was here 26Oct2019 with wife and kids. we rented a boat 1500php to bring us to tres reyes islands. We first stopped by the gaspar island and bought fish and with the help of the boatman. we asked the helpful old lady with the store to cook the fish for us with rice. total cost 385 php, we gave her 600 php for the effort.

The beach was full of crushed corals. Literally the entire beachfront. Water was very clean because very few people lived on the island. good for swimming. There was an area of white beachfront with cottages good area for swimming.

we went, or tried to go to the 3rd island, weather was fine sunny when we started. But lo and behold before we reached the 3rd island the sea became so rough the boatman decided to turn the boat around. There have been stories that this island is inhabited by engkantos and if they dont want people going to this island thats why the rough sea swells all of a sudden.

We turned back to the first island where we inihaw na isda for lunch with freshly cooked rice. Ah, life in the province at its finest.

The kind old lady who cooked our food joined us in the cottage when it suddenly rained so hard that we could not see the main Marinduque island, rained hard for 30 minutes. The old lady had stories about chinese dragon painted plates on a sunken ship between the island and the main island where divers and yachts retrieved it and stuff, and about a cave in the island that causes people to go insane etc.. but thats another story for another time. Visit the island if you want first hand stories of these things from the kind old lady.

Rather go here than Maniwaya. Not crowded very private. the ocean is deep and the sand is rocky but is still a must

We went to Gasan and rent a boat to gaspar island. There are small portions of white beach with rock formations, we stop by , . We swim for an hour . We enjoyed the place.

We just asked a Gasan local if he could take us over to the islands on his boat - so glad we did!

It's a short trip, first we stopped at Gaspar island, got off for a swim... simply gorgeous. Then back onto the banka and over to Melchor island for a touch of complete wilderness and a swim with no one around. I was gobsmacked that we were so lucky to find such a wonderful place.

The boat then took us around the island and back yo Gasan but we'll definitely be back on future trips.

We access this area as one of my spouse' s relative owns a boat and lives in Buenavista , Marinduque. The area is a remote one and would need a reliable captain of the boat to reach the island for 15mins crossing it. You need to bring with you all things you may need while away from the main land as sources is scarce.
Upon reaching the island, expect a very crystal clear waters and white, rocky but finer sands and enjoy a relaxing air. It may be ideal for you to spend a night here by bringing your own tent as what my brother in law and his group did and only the moon would be your light and unlimited fresh air pitching on yhe shorelines of the island. Cottages are cheap for your area while staying there and placing necessary things such as bags, food and others.

Impressive as in it is away from city and without stress and the area was granted a solar powered electricity that comprises 200 people by the dept of energy so they could have power supply.

Anyway, what matters is that the whole bunch (Larga Family) enjoyed quality time in this place.

visiting the middle island, made me feel like a king! a king that owns an entire island! literally, me and my friends were alone chartering a boat going to this island. we were brought into a shore, with a cave-like structure that served as our haven.

we were literally all by ourselves! we cooked, drank, swam, and had the time of our lives! but it is a requirement, (and common sense too) to clean up after your mess. so bring garbage bags.

try to negotiate the best price for the boats.

though don't try to be invincible by swimming too far, or too late.

Molokini is Maui, Hawaii's best snorkeling destination. Tres Reyes Islands is Marinduque's version. Just a 30 minute boat ride from the city of Gasan Marinduque. Lucky I have a cousin that has a boat that took me there.
Pros- Great experience! Waters are clear and pristine. Coral beach (not sand).
Cons- No bathrooms. Strong current. Be careful of sea urchins.
If you really don't mind roughing it, the pros outweigh the cons a lot!

We were cruising on a motorboat along the coast of Marinduque when our operator suggested we go to one of the Tres Reyes Islands. It was another 30 minutes from Gasan so we fueled up and took off. None of us had been there so we weren't expecting anything other than to say been there, done that. To our surprise, the water along the first islet was so clear that we could see the beautiful corals below, including brightly colored starfishes, shells, etc. Luckily, we had snorkels and ended up spending several hours enjoying our time... what a find!
