I'm totally fascinated by city walls and to be able to walk the entire original walls was a blast. And the walls are still surrounded by a spring fed moat.

Truly remarkable experience: a ride suspended on foot at more than 10 meters high. The patrol walkway is well maintained and offers a truly remarkable view of the old town and the surrounding countryside. It is the best-kept wall of all those I have been able to visit around Europe. The ticket is absolutely a cheap Point of Sale: only €5 the whole per person.

Cute town whose historic center is surrounded by medieval walls and whose walkway is still open to the public, the route is about 2 km at an average height of 15m (about 1 hour's walk)... I felt like a patrol soldier

The route of about 1km and a half is truly wonderful. If you are lucky enough to go on a clear day you can see the Alps and the whole town. Really nice.

Also accompanied by a day of (finally!) good weather, we set off around the walls. A different walk than usual, very pleasant and which allows you to see this beautiful town and all the surroundings up to the mountains from an unusual angle.
In addition to the apparently banal tour, the small stations with very well presented information on the history, particularly military, of Cittadella are pleasant.
A simple experience, but definitely worth doing.
The price is definitely worth what is offered.

Really useful, this cumulative ticket lasts one year
with 10 euros one can visit 5 sites:
praetorian palace (partly frescoed)
social theater (small favor, you can also go on stage)
cathedral museum (with the grandiose “Supper at Emmaus”, a masterpiece dated 1537 by Jacopo Bassano)
Walls (for me not suitable for everyone, alternatively you can only see the museum exhibition before the walkway)
an oratory
Pay attention to opening times and days
Go there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Complete wall walkway, 15 meters above the ground.
It is the only one in Europe to have a completely walkable city wall.
Built in 1200 and perfectly restored.
You enter from the Captain's House at Porta Bassane-se and come across the Malta Tower which is on the opposite side.
Casa del Capitano and Torre di Malta host small museums of historical artefacts.
Four doors oriented according to the cardinal points, facing south towards Padua, west towards Vicenza, north towards Bassano and east towards Treviso.
On a day as beautiful as we found it, it's an unmissable sight.
It is the only one in Europe to have a completely walkable city wall.

We came to visit today for the first time. The ticket costs €5 for adults and €3 for children. The route takes about an hour within the walls, then there are two museums along the way. Presence of 2 bathrooms along the route. Very nice!

Once in the citadel it is mandatory to take a tour of the city walls, from above you can see the whole city, cost €5, recommended!

Salve, ho visitato le mura molte volte in questi ultimi anni, come cittadellese volevo sapere come mai ultimamente le torri di porta Treviso e porta Bassano non si possono visitare. Una volta ricordo che si potevano visitare. Quella di Vicenza invece non la ho mai vista aperta. State facendo lavori o restauri? Vorrei suggerire di fare altrettanti musei in queste torri, magari rappresentativi di diversi periodi storici della città, come avete fatto della torre di Malta un bel museo medievale! Che ne dite? Non male come idea. Un ultima cosa riguardante il museo della civiltà paleoveneta che si trova al piano inferiore, ho notato che non è molto frequentato, forse perché non ci sono le giuste indicazioni quando si transita al piano superiore. Ho l’impressione che sia un po’ marginalizzato. Saluti e buon lavoro comunque. Gianluca

La torre di porta Bassano è aperta tutti i giorni e serve per scendere dal camminamento. Ci sono anche degli allestimenti all'interno della torre.
Porta Treviso cerchiamo di aprirla quando è possibile, ma non possiamo farlo ogni giorno.
Porta Vicenza non è ancora agibile all'interno.
Per quanto riguarda il Museo Archeologico è segnalato, e a tutti quelli che arrivano dal camminamento viene data la spiegazione di come raggiungerlo.
Grazie per i suggerimenti, molto interessanti, speriamo di poterli seguire.

Concordo con lei in merito alla conservazione e fare visitare le bellezze del nostro territorio..
Sicuramente una buona gestione e pubblicità fa sì che le persone si appassionino sempre di più all'arte..
Treviso tempo fa era un disastro..
Ci sono state amministrazioni che la hanno riportata ai vecchi splendori..
Sicuramente fare delle visite guidate all'interno di questa cittadina le farà scoprire piccoli scorci di un passato glorioso..
Posso dirle che tutti noi Italiani abbiamo un patrimonio urbanistico culturale immenso..ma non siamo capaci di amministrarlo.. tranne quelche piccola piccola realtà..

la visita dura circa 1 ora. Oltre alla passeggiata panoramica lunga un chilometro e mezzo, si possono visitare varie stanze museali lungo il percorso.

Secondo regolamento comunale sono ammessi cani di piccola taglia che possono entrare solamente se tenuti nel trasportino.
Il Camminamento di Ronda non è solamente una passeggiata, ma un complesso museale, si passa all'interno di stanze e musei all'interno delle torri.
