Very nice castle with history and small but great exhibitions. We were absolutely thrilled. Also for children who are not afraid of ghosts. 😉

The trip to Stolpen Castle was even better in wonderful weather. The young man at the cash desk was super nice and then we went to a wonderful exhibition. The labels are not too long and are written in several languages. Everything is clean and tidy. The place breathes history and you expect Countess Cosel to come around the corner at any time.
The only downside: the snack bar is closed due to a lack of staff.

A worthwhile castle tour in a wonderful little town. From the top of the tower you have a magnificent view of the enchanting town and the wonderful surroundings. The exhibition about the Countess of Cosel is also worthwhile.

Waren heute auf Burg Stolpen mit samt Kinderwagen und Baby...der Aufstieg war etwas beschwärlich aber machbar ;) Maxicosi oder Tragetuch ist wichtig zum besteigen der Türme :) Ein Ausflug lohnt sich auf jeden fall und auch wir kommen gerne wieder.

Vorweg ein Wermutstropfen, Parkplätze sind eine ganze Ecke weg und insbesondere für Ältere der Weg beschwerlich. Auch der Eintrittspreis ist gesalzen. Dafür ist die Anlage nicht nur für Fotografen interessant. Bei gutem Wetter muss man eine phantastische Aussicht haben.

Parkplätze weit weg ! Für ätere Menschen mühsam bergauf ! Burg ist nur teilweise erhalten der rest ist eine Ruine ! Brunnen und Wasseranlage imposant !

Awesome!!! I really love this place and it’s always great to be there. It was our third visit and it won’t be the last. Our kids are afraid of the ghost in the cellar. Great idea!!

Zamek bardzo nam się podobał ze względu położenie i historie. Aż ciężko sobie wyobrazić, że budowa najgłębszej studni trwała tak długo. Ciekawie wyglada skala bazaltowa niespotykany pomnik przyrody. Opisy w języku polskim. Historia zamku super opisana, polecam ma minimum 2 godzinki

Anschaulich durch verschiedene Medien die historische Entwicklung der Burg geschildert. So schlecht hat Gräfin Cosel in ihrer Gefangenschaft nicht gelebt. Hatte ich mir einfacher vorgestellt.Es gibt viel zum Herauf - und Hinuntersteigen auf schmalen Wendeltreppen. In den "Katakomben" was für Geologieinteressierte. Die Burg Stolpen ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.
