We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and tour of the winery that was organized by Apulia Shuttle. What a fantastic way to enjoy great wine and delicious food, with a friendly and attentive host!

We were a group of 10 persons visited Terra Jovia for wine tasting with dinner on 18/09/19.It was amazing! The atmosphere, the yard, the winery...It was return to time! Philipo and his wife were very hospitable and courtesy, the food was very tasty and the wine was great!

A nossa visita foi agendada com antecedência. O Sr Filippo nos mostrou, falando em inglês, todo o processo da uva até o vinho. Além do vinho ter sido aprovado e bem avaliado por quem me acompanhava na visita e da simpatia do Sr Filippo, a experiência de poder degustar o vinho acompanhado de uma deliciosa comida italiana com muitas entradas típicas, uma massa maravilhosa e naquele jardim junto a uma casa centenária, foi realmente demais.

The place was recommended by our tour guide Roberto.
The visit to this winery with wine tasting and a four course lunch in the garden was just outstanding.
A friendly family place with incredible wine and home style food served in a peaceful environment.

We recently visited Terra Jovia at the suggestion and arrangement of our driver Roberto. We are so happy he suggested this place to us. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and were met by Filippo. He gave us a tour of the winemaking process and history of the winery. Then the fin began. We got to sit at a spot outdoors that was set up for us. Then the food began, antipasti, pasta, meat, potatoes, and the wine, wow the wine, Primivito was special. We dined for about 2 hours. It was like a family meal. Filippo & Marina are wonderful hosts. We even got to meet their son, who helped them serve us. This was more than we expected but we are so glad we were able to enjoy the food, the company and day.

Terra Jovia Wine Room was a terrific place to stay.
There were several reasons that we chose this property and it met all our expectations.
The wine room is a large first floor bedroom forming part of the historic winery property. The bedroom and living area are open plan, spacious with a beautiful vaulted ceiling and decorated with period furniture.
The living area is a comfortable sofa and seating plan around a table, al very tasteful to the surroundings.
The bed was traditional and was comfortable. There is plenty of room for clothing/storage.
The bathroom is off the main room and is well equipped and spacious. The entire space has AC but despite the warm temperature we hardly used this service due to the vaulted ceilings.
One our reasons for staying was to visit the winery and have a meal with wine tasting. We had the meal on the first night and this was a great success. We were served in the dining room next door to our bedroom. Fillipo and his sister provided the food and wines and we were delighted with the quality with the care given very evident. We received course after course of super food, either from the farm or locally made and all delicious. All washed down with the superb family wine. A real highlight.
Before leaving we completed the winery tour which was also very enjoyable. The history, intertwined with the family history is beautiful and the chapel is a lovely aspect.
Lastly, the property is immediately adjacent to the town centre which means walking to shops or a cafe/restaurant is easy.

Filippo & Marina are just lovely. I brought my small tour to them twice last year and we had such a good time. It's really amazing to find such a relaxing gem in Gioia - it's hard to believe that there is a busy city all around this winery. Wonderful tour and lunch was epic. We tried the 3 different Primitivo wines and they were all fantastic. Can't wait to visit again!

We were travelling by bus & wanted somewhere to stop between Matera & Alberobello.
We also wanted to visit winery's so Terra Jovia seemed the perfect choice.
It was a 20 minute walk from the bus stop & easy to find with the entrance gates & google maps.
When we checked in with Rina we realised how lucky we were as they only have one guest room above the the winery and it is massive, with its own lounge area!
We had a walk around town between rain showers, but not much was happening as it was riposo time. When we got back I had to get a lesson on how to open the door.
When we arrived we arranged to start the wine tour at 6. Filippo started in the beautiful family chapel with a history lesson and proceeded to show us the wine making process that includes using cement vats to preserve the flavours of the grapes.
We then 'sampled' the 2015 Primitivo & Primitivo Reserva with dinner in their lovely dining room.
Both are delightful but the Primitivo was my favourite.
We ate a range of local hams & cheeses, tasty home grown veg & 'Mums' pasta.
Every last morsel was delicious, including the dessert!
I would really recommend staying here and hope to stay again.

Rina received us for the english tour in Terra Jovia. After the tour she provided us an unforgettable lunch.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura tramite un coupon ed è stata un'esperienza bellissima. Location stupenda, immersa nel verde, curata nei dettagli, pulita con personale disponibilissimo e cordiale. Cucina ottima e vasta con prodotti tipici del territorio. Consigliato vivamente!
