Lovely quaint cinema situated in the woods. Very friendly staff. Very reasonable refreshments.

Some things are just got to be done. This is a gem of the age when the cinema was a weekly thing to do. We enjoyed the nostalgia that that the Kinematic offers. The decor bought back so many memories from the 1960/70’s. It’s great to see sensible prices for something different. We had the best evening.

This was our third trip to the Kinema, it is a truly unique place that offers a fantastic cinema experience, friendly staff, all the same titles as a modern multiplex but the environment and atmosphere of a traditional cinema!
First visit was for the experience, return visits because it beats modern cinema hands down!

I went 3 times during my stay and each time was excellent. The experience was unlike any I had experienced before as the cinema is charmingly old-fashioned and run by really helpful and friendly staff. The highlight would be the organ performance in the interval on screen 1 - better than the film!

My friend & I are so besotted by this wonderful Kinema we return almost weekly. The atmosphere, staff & actual building are just amazing…that old-fashioned warm feeling as you walk through the doors & friendly welcome by every member of staff just cannot be beaten anywhere else we’ve been..
The cost of the tickets are reasonable with reductions for us more ‘mature attendees’ & all the food/popcorn/sweets etc & drinks on sale are not over-priced as at other venues.
We will return, probably next week, to the wonderful Kinema & cannot recommend it highly enough for a great ‘step-back-in-time’ experience. Thank you everyone at The Kinema…long may you continue to provide superb entertainment in such a fabulous venue!

We loved our time at the Kinema while we were holidaying near Horncastle, we went back the next day to watch another showing.
The Kinema gives off both a vintage and luxury vibe.
The seats were comfy and arm rests rose so me and my partner could cuddle up. Their rooms aren’t big so there aren’t a hundred people making noise and overstimulating you.
We loved the theatre curtains and the intermission! It’s so nice to have a break and not miss anything.

Wonderful atmosphere. The old-fashioned style to the cinema adds to the great atmosphere. The film was also wonderful. There is an interval in the middle of the films to allow for a break which is great. The food is very reasonably priced as are the tickets compared to the other alternative cinemas in the area.

If you haven't already, you need to visit this amazing place! It's Like stepping back in time with the decor etc but they show a good selection of the latest films. It's not too expensive either.

If there is a movie on then the doors are open. Check what time the movie starts and go fifteen minutes before to look round.

Meerkat movies vouchers accepted, making it even better value for money for a unique experience.
Sweets, popcorn and Ice cream are also at very sensible prices not a kings ransom like some places!!!!

You can book on-line at kinema in the woods (take out the gaps and add the usual prefix and suffixes. Click on the film you want then follow the pre book tickets link in the grey box. Then pick the time of the showing you want and follow the instructions.
When they expect high demand for a showing you will be able to select specific seats otherwise it's a first come first served sort of policy.
There is also a 50 pence per ticket booking fee on each on-line booking.
