If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Our tour of wineries in the Langhe area of the Piedmont with Andrea of Amanda's Wine Adventures was the highlight of our trip to the Piedmont. Andrea's knowledge of the region went far beyond his detailed knowledge of the wines, so the tour was an incredibly interesting story of the people, the agriculture, and the history of the region. His intelligence, sense of humor, and easy going willingness to take on all of our questions made the experience feel very tailored to us, and not a cookie cutter tour. We also did a cheese tasting with an artisanal cheese monger who added to the richness of our experience with her own knowledge of the region and small batch cheese production. If you love cheese, you MUST add this to your itinerary. And if you love wine and want an experience that helps you understand this fascinating region, book a tour with Amanda's Wine Adventures.

If you are exploring Piedmonte and want the best possible experience you could ever dream of, book Amanda for your visit.
She is extremely easy to work with over email/phone calls and was amazing at customizing our visit based on our needs, preferences, and requests. We spent one full day with her which she curated, she drove us around in her vehicle visiting wineries, doing a truffle hunt with the cutest dog, having a truffle lunch, and showing us the beauty and richness of the area.
She also planned another full day for us that we drove ourselves without her, and she chose amazing wineries and a fabulous cheesemaker where we had lunch. She also gave us some input about where to stop for great views, interesting towns, and other cultural points of interest.
We were also lucky enough to get to taste the wine that she makes with her lovely husband Gianni, and if you have the chance to taste and buy their wines, don't miss out.
Overall, our visit with Amanda and the spots she chose for us were a real highlight of our Italy trip and we highly recommend her. She is really thoughtful about what she chooses, and her ability to curate an incredible experience is just amazing. Can't say enough about how fantastic she is. Thank you.

Our experience with Erika at Amanda's Wine adventures was excellent. Erika picked us up on time at our hotel in Monforte and was a great driver through the twisty roads of the Barolo wine country. Our tastings were very good and the pace of the tour was just right. We had a great lunch while on tour featuring local Piedmont dishes. I bought a few bottles while on tour and Amanda's team made sure they were delivered in excellent condition to my home. If you want to spend a relaxing day in Piedmont and taste some great wine with great company, trust Amanda to set you up! Thank you!

Amanda was an amazing and well informed wine tour guide. She spoke fluent English and Italian, skillfully navigating us to a number of really interesting wineries. We also toured a cheese making farm and we enjoyed a unique Piemonte lunch. Amanda was at our hotel early , waiting in her nice Mercedes van for our private tour. Amanda possessed a lot of knowledge about the region, the grapes, the growers and wineries. There was so much to see, learn and do, we will definitely be back for continuing wine education! Thank you Amanda.

Amanda took us to two producers where we tasted some fantastic wines! She is extremely knowledgeable about the various wines, grape and Piedmont area. I came away knowing far more about Barolo, Barbaresco and many other regional wines. She also toured various towns and had a fabulous lunch. We bought some wine and she shipped it for us. It arrived at our house before we even got back from Italy! I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the Langhe wine area.

My partner and I booked a 2 day tour with Amanda to explore the Barolo and Barbaresco region! We had an amazing time with her and would highly recommend her to anyone booking in the region.
She customized the two days for the activities that we wanted to achieve. Overall, she is incredibly knowledgeable about the region, organized, and friendly! She did a fantastic job showing us all of the different grape varieties in the region above and beyond Nebbiolo! The range of activities and types of wineries she took us to was excellent!
For day 1, we started with a truffle hunt - she organized this was a fantastic and dynamic local pair who were incredibly knowledgeable and had the sweetest truffle hunting dogs. This was a fun-filled morning followed by a lunch where we were able to eat the truffles from the hunt! Delicious meal with a fantastic wine pairing. We also spent some time in the picturesque towns that dot the region. We ended the day with a family run winery where we got acquainted with a wide range of grape varieties.
On Day 2, we visited 3 different wineries in Barbaresco and Barolo. It was a great look at different styles of the region and the families behind the excellent wine that comes out of this region! She also arranged a lunch at Osteria Tre Casa which was phenomenal.
She and her husband also make wine!
She can also arranged shipping of wine back which is excellent.
We got to see, learn and try so much of what the region could offer in 2 days, but I could easily spend a week (and much much longer!) in this region and I'm sure that Amanda would have endless activities and wineries to show us. It was great to have a local guide help us navigate such an amazing place.

Amazing! We told Amanda what type of experience we were looking for and she delivered. From great winery tours, to meet interesting vintners! Great drivers, restaurants, cooking class. Oh so fun. She is a star.

We enjoyed a full-day Barolo tour with Amanda on October 4, 2019. This was a great tour and Amanda made it even better. She is personable, knowledgeable and informative, and she has a unique way of describing the taste of wines. An added and unexpected bonus was her ability to help us ship our wines home. We highly recommend Amanda and her tours. Tom P.

This was our second wine tour with Amanda. We toured Barbaresco two years ago and loved the whole experience, so we returned to see Barolo this year. Amanda is so knowledgeable about the wines, the land and the wine makers. She always chooses great wineries and lunch stops. Just a perfect mix of fun, site seeing and learning. And gelato! I recommend her with out reservation.

Ciao Amanda, vorrei trascorrere 4 giorni in piemonte ( dal 9 al 12 ottobre) facendo camminate e visitando aziende vinicole. Abbiamo una bimba di 7 anni che ama camminare ma i perscorsi non dovrebbero essere troppo difficili e con una durata di 3 ore massimo. Vorremmo alloggiare in B&B gestite da persone accoglienti! Se hai qualcosa da propormi, aspetto una risposta al piu presto possibile per potermi organizzare. Grazie
