The Oirase Stream is a stream of water flowing out of Lake Towada towards Yakiyama. Among them, it is Ashura current which divides popularity with Choshi Falls. It is located about 1.7 km before the rest area of Ishigado, so it can be said that it is the final part of the Oirase mountain stream. It's a place worth seeing.

Often featured on television, in magazines, and in posters, the Ashura Stream is known as a representative landscape of the Oirase Stream.
The Ashura flow is one of the most violent in the Okuirase mountain stream.
Because of its dynamic flow, it is called the most beautiful scenic spot in the Okuirase mountain stream.
During the fall foliage season, I inevitably felt the best as the wild flowing water contrasted beautifully with the vivid autumn colors.
I enjoyed negative ions.

Ashura no Nagare is a representative view spot in Oirase, named after Ashura, the warlike god, due to the fierce current that seems to sweep large boulders away.
We parked our car in the Ishigedo parking lot and walked upstream. Just under 2km and about 30 minutes from Ishigedo is the spot known as Ashura no Nagare. The sight of the water flowing between large rocks, splashing everywhere, was more beautiful than spectacular.

There were many photographers there and the sound of this fast flowing and roaring river here creates an iconic view of the Oirase Gorge. Naturally it was also one of the spot where we posed for a photograph.

阿修羅の流れと聞いてどんな激しい流れが見られるのだろうかと、特に前二日間は雨が降っていたので増水して荒れ狂う流れになっているかもと、とても期待していきました。実際見てみると確かに流れは早かったですが、驚くほどではなかったです。若干名前負けしている印象がありました。

奥入瀬渓流では必見のポイントの1つです。写真撮影にも最適です。豪雨の影響で濁りが残っているとのお話でしたが、それでもかなりキレイでした。

とても流れの早い岩場で、暴れた水の動きをずっと見入ってしまいます。とても奥入瀬渓流らしい場所だとも言えます。
立ち入りを制限する柵があることから、下流側からの撮影が出来なかったのが、残念です。
動画を撮っておいたので、音と流れを後からじっくりと味わうことが出来ました。

星野リゾート『奥入瀬渓流ホテル』宿泊者はホテルから無料の『渓流シャトルバス』で約15分で到着します。JR東北バスの馬門岩バス停が便利なようです。国道の直ぐ横なので車窓からも眺められます。訪問した際には直前の雨の影響で水量が多めのためか豪快に水しぶきを上げていました。
