We went at low tide. Easy access, though road is a bit rough. We ended up not paying for parking because no one was in the kiosk. Beautiful beach (though I am not partial to the type of sand in CR) with a good number of people but not too crowded. Swimming was good-with only medium waves.

Fun beach with great waves (for the whole family (11+) to jump in) and some food and other vendors. Best to go at low tide to be able to go in the caves. Also loved that there were lifeguards there. Pay attention to the flags and only swim on the yellow flag side of the beach.

Great little spot where you feel safe! Unfortunately we didn’t time our visit to go into the caves because of the tide.

Wunderschöner Naturstrand....es liegen Kokosnüsse und Treibholz am Strand. Kleine Verkaufsstelle für Getränke etc. 2000 Colones Parkgebühr, ab 14 Uhr nur 1.500 Colones. Die "Fenster" sind auf der linken Seite bei Ebbe zu sehen. Zufahrt etwas hoperig aber für SUV und 4x4 machbar!

We visited Playa Ventanas during our Waterfall Tour, and were lucky to be able to see the caves at low tide! This beach is GORGEOUS! There are red flags and yellow flags - the red are "don't swim" areas, and the yellow mean swimming is okay. I wish I had more time at this beach and had the chance to boogey board - the waves were perfect for it! The caves were very cool to experience. It was gorgeous to see the mountains in the background of this lush jungle beach while floating in the warm Pacific.

Shhhh. Best beach in the area. Really nice local beach. Be prepared to pay for parking since that is how they keep the beach maintained. Caves are awesome but best seen at low tide. You can rent a pavilion or just bring your towels. Also have little vendor stands selling liquids and some food. Very family oriented.

El lugar muy lindo y tranquilo ,la experiencia de ver el mar entrando por las ventanas
y su sonido fue impactante , la facilidad para comprar comida ahí mismo es también un punto fuerte , recomendado para visitar sin duda.

Vine havé 3 años y playa ventanas era hermosa, este mes de enero fuimos a visitarla y lamentablemente está completamente descuidada, basura por todos lados, además de pagar por entrar, no recomiendo esta playa a nadie, la están destruyendo y al mismo tiempo los turistas no volverán a visitarla

What do you mean access for senior citizens? I am 73 and had no problem. If you're looking for bathrooms and resort things, this is not it.

Según entendí te cobran solo la entrada, a las 6pm aproximadamente los encargados del cobro se van y cualquiera puede entrar sin pagar según nos dijeron, por lo tanto no cobran por acampar, pero sí por que uses los baños si ocuparas cambiarte

Si hay que pagar crc 1500 o usd 3.00 . por parqueo del auto , recomenadacion de legada entre 8.30 am a 9.30 am ya que se llena mucho de acuerdo la temporada y lograr tomar una buena sombra con cuidado con las palmeras con caida de cocos.
