I watched Mr. Ed as a kid and still watch the reruns. Mr. Ed's gravestone is North of Tahlequah ( Highway 82) just a few miles . It will be on your right ( North ) as you make the first curve to your left (west ) . Then as you finish the curve going north ( now west ) Mr. Ed's gravestone will be on your right (North ) . You need to visit there if you liked Mr. Ed.

It is a bit odd because this is someone’s home and the statue is in the backyard. We were quick and respectfully tried to skirt the edges of the yard for a quick photo. Definitely think the family living there could do something like a little shop or even just a side path. It is really odd that this is just sitting in the backyard hidden.

This monument is in the back yard of a private residence. There is no actual access to it. You can just barely see it from the road and only if you know what you are looking.for.

This is a good photo Opp, However it's a little odd to get to. It is behind the house, I knocked on the door but the day we went the house was vacant, So we went ahead to the back to the monument. Is this the resting place of the real Mr. ED? who knows for sure? It very well could be a TV double, after all how many Lassie's were there? So Over All Just a Good photo opp and the price is right. (free)

I found the final resting place of what is considered "Mr. Ed's" final days. The actual monument is a left hand turn at the road and intersects the main road 82. Beautiful landscape, and lots of horses who could be his off spring?

We found the location but there are no signs mentioning Mr. Ed anywhere. Seeing that it is on private property, we didn't feel we had the right to get out and look around to try and find the monument. I figure if they want people to get out and see it, they would at least have some sort of small welcome sign. If you're interested, it's only a few miles out of town so drive on out and see if they've put up any signs inviting you in.

Trip Advisor is nice, but an app called USA Travel Attractions on your phone is a great sister site to find little spots like this on the fly.
My husband, his buddy, and I rode our motorcycles out here yesterday after finding it on my app. It was a little hard to find at first, but once I had googled several sites I found the actual street address (which I've posted on Trip Advisor). The site is at the end of a dead end road, on the right hand side, out back by a barn.
If you're a fan of this childhood classic, I would consider it a "must see", although there's actually not much to see - just the memorial (tombstone) located in the back yard of someone's house. The house was vacant but clearly they are accustomed to folks dropping by to pay their respects.
Once done, the town of Tahlequah is right up the road, which is the capitol of the Cherokee Nation and home to a major university. Tahlequah is a quaint little town full of history and funky places to shop, eat, and drink, and is also known for the canoe and rafting camps along the Illinois River there, which I also recommend doing! Great fun!
If you like horses, classic TV, and finding funky places to take a road trip to, I recommend you take Mr. Ed a carrot.
