“Dissappointing Botanic Garden, Malacca”

这个植物园简直令人失望，是州/联邦政府在资助和维护公共财产和设施方面表现糟糕的一个例子。这里有一些美丽的树木。但是，公园里的所有设备和装置都非常糟糕，或者完全无法使用。小路曾经很漂亮，但现在却很糟糕，而且非常滑。甚至博物馆也不对公众开放，工作人员说屋顶瓦片掉落在人们身上，建筑物无法使用，据说几个月来小木屋都无法使用。那里的咖啡馆供应美味的咖啡，但松饼和甜甜圈太难吃了（旧了）。为什么政府不能把这些美丽的地方整理好呢？真是浪费工资和资源。

Dissappointing Botanic Garden, Malacca

This Botanical Garden was a pure disappointment and an example of how badly the State/Federal Government is when it comes to funding and maintaining public property and facilities. There were some beautiful trees. But, all equipment and fixtures in the park are dangerously bad or totally unusable. The paths were beautiful but are now just bad and can be very slippery. Even the museum is not open to public and the staff said the roof tiles have fallen on people and the building is unusable as was the chalets that were said to be not tenable for some months now. The Cafe there served good coffee but the muffin and donut was just too hard to eat (old). Why can't the government get these beautiful place in order. What a waste of salaries and resources.

A QUIET REFUGE

2023年5月

This quiet refuge from the hustle & bustle of central Melaka is worth a visit. Just 10 minutes from our hotel the Ames in Ayer Keroh, these gardens are used by locals as well as tourists to just stroll or to jog. Very few flowers were on display during our visit but the variety of trees, palms and monkeys made it an interesting stroll.

Hit or Miss

We took the buggy service to go around the gardens, RM 40 for 40 minutes and there is a proper lane for buggies. Not many animals to see besides some monkeys so was a bit disappointed. There's not many photo points besides the entrance. SKYTREX Adventure is located here and I saw people on the zipline and obstacle course.

Make more sit and plant more flower. Also if possible put a small playground around the park so the children can enjoy the nature like a small gazebo surrounding with a beautiful flowers plant.

Quite a wonderful place to walk

We went there a a last minute choice. Took a walk along the path. It was not very tiring but good enough to give you a gentle workout. It was cooling to walk under the canopy. There are several options for you like skytrex, canopy walk, 10,000 step trail. It was not properly sign posted to let you know where you are and where you are heading. Could have had many along the way to give you your bearing and also let you know which route to take. There many souvenir stalls selling the usual stuff outside the entrance. It would go there again at least for the workout.

Not as you expect

Visited thinking this would be a series of layed out Malay style gardens and flora and fauna. Turned out to be a large tree and fern jungle setting with walkways meandering through. Had a nice walk but glad there is no entry cost. For the adventurous they have a zip line adventure course running up in the trees.

Great hideout from the city

Plenty of parking spaces available but try to avoid weekends as many tourist from KL will be here to enjoy the forest. Good for jogging and walking, pets not allowed

Kindergarten Field Day... watch out for monkeys!!

We organized our school field day at this facility. The field was quite a distance from the entrance but that made it fun for the parents and their children to find their way there.

The toilets were washed the morning of our event.

Everything seemed perfect except for the many monkeys that live there.

Be sure not to serve food or eat openly in front of the monkeys as they may grab your food.

But most of all, it is their space so just respect that and do not probe them!

Overall I would definitely organize another event here!
