It was closed at 11.30 on Sunday morning.
Not as the times show on this site.
All locked up,no information and nobody around.
Very disappointed as we stopped off specifically on our way down the coast.
Spent ages tr.to park!

A castle in the center of the village that you can visit for free and see the exhibitions inside, it is recommended to attend the theatrical visits that do some afternoons, they are cheap, as they are very entertaining

Restored in 2013 and located in the town's main square, its history and importance for the town is what is truly important.
Small, it has a square floor plan, with two cylindrical towers and a larger square tower.
If you go to Carboneras it is an interesting visit to make, if you find it open, since the published hours are not respected.

el castillo esta muy bien ubicado, en medio de una gran plaza, frente al mar. esta muy conservado y las exposiciones fueron interesantes

Not much to see. The place is well preserved but not very interesting. Some halls are empty. The ones which have something are with abstract paintings, old social pictures which don’t show much and with pottery treated in submerged water to look like old pottery which was lying in the sea for a long time. These are sold at some expensive prices. Other than that, not much to see.

Petite forteresse très bien restaurée, accès gratuit. Quelques salles avec des photos anciennes sur le village et ses habitants.

Un castillo más de los muchos que hay por España, entiendo que cuando hay conciertos con música en acústico si puede llegar a tener un encanto especial, pero mas allá de eso, como patrimonio histórico de Carboneras, no me supuso nada especial, he visto muchos castillos a lo largo y ancho de la Península que si me han impactado, éste no me causo gran sensación.
POSITIVO:
- Gratuito.
- Cuidado.
- Para ver actividades en él puede tener su punto (Por ejemplo música o teatro en directo).
NEGATIVO:
- No tiene nada de especial o un elemento diferencial con respecto a otros.
- Pequeño.
Por lo tanto, si te pilla por Carboneras, pasa y échale un vistazo, pero si tienes que desplazarte adrede para ello, yo no lo haría.

En el horario del establecimiento se indica como hora de cierre las 21,30 h. Entré a las 21 h y me dijeron que iban a cerrar y no podía entrar con lo cual me quedé sin visitarlo. Cerraron a las 21,10 h.

La verdad encontré lo que me falta en muchos de los castillos que he visitado, algo de ambientación de la época, aunque había una exposición de fotografías antiguas bastante interesante

El castillo de Carboneras, bien conservado aunque por dentro se nota la mano de la restauración. No es que haya mucho para ver, pero no quita que sea un lugar histórico. Tenía una exposición de fotos de la historia del pueblo.
