Interesting Roman Ruins, just down the stairs in the Secret Garden. They seem to be ok tolerating visitors, but the garden area would be a great place to relax and enjoy a drink during the days.
From the square, go straight back and follow signs to the Secret Garden. From outside the “walls”, you’ll see a sign to enter the Secret Garden directly. On one side there is a railing with stairs going down to the toilets. There you’ll find the passage.

Looking for a place to have lunch we ended up in the secret garden. It was blissful and the pizza was also tasty

One of our favorite places. Inside (Secret Garden) you can relax and romantically enjoy the time. The seating is from benches, high chairs to stones with tables to sit on. The food is extensive and delicious. Had homemade pasta and liver. Meat and vegetables apparently come from the local farm. Alcoholic cocktails are good, cost between 9-12€. In the evening there is live music, then the garden feels fast, preferably around 8 pm. Service is friendly and effortful, but you have to expect some waiting time as they are understaffed and one service person is responsible for several tables. Didn't bother us, though.

obscene drinks: don't take bloody mary.
Bad service and extremely rude as well as slow / cumbersome.

Volsonis a few years ago and Volsonis now-incomperable.
Food almost uneatable but worse -servise was unprofesional, slow and uninterested.
For sure out last meal in Volsonis.

We wanted to have a drink before dinner at another restaurant and found this hidden spot through a small gate in the city wall. “The secret garden” is truly an oasis of peace in the busy tourist town. Highly recommended!

Through a small entrance in the city wall you get to the "Secret Garden". An open-air bar that belongs to the adjoining Volsonis. The old walls create a special atmosphere, especially in the evenings. Live bands. Great cocktails! You should definitely visit, even if it's just for a drink after dinner.
