Will Banstead woods Narnia trail be suitable for little ones? Is it a one way system or can you only do a bit and turn back? Can you take a buggy?
My 3 and 4 year old loved the Narnia sculptures and there is den building depending on their age. There is a three mile trail but you could do a shorter stroll. My kids are good walkers so we did the walk but all the sculptures are the beginning of you don't want to do the walk. It is a wood and public land so no one way system but paths are relatively wide. It was quite busy when we went on a sunny day. Trying to remember if people had buggies. Would probably be ok . Bit bumpy and first bit up hill!
I can’t any information on how long the narnia trail is , does anyone know please?
All the sculptures are near the beginning so not far at all to find them if you don't want to walk far. The trail itself is about 3 miles from the leaflet on line. A pleasant walk round the wood with good tree climbing if you have kids.
Hi. Where about is best to park to visit the Narnia Trail? If there is a car park is it open currently? Looking for somewhere different to go with kids locally. I know are lot of car parks are reopening. Thanks
Hi, there’s a car park directly to the entrance of the woods. Holly lane/park road Banstead
We are going to bring a group of U3A walkers at the end of March and wonder what flora and fauna we might expect to see (apart from the wonderful sculptures!)? Thanks Jan
Hi Jan, Hope you have good weather. I just find it a nice place to walk the dog, though can get busy in nice weather and summertime. Can recommend The Rambles Rest in the Chipstead Valley nearby. Right, not the greatest botanist, but did come across this leaflet some time ago, won't let us put it here, as a website. But, if you look up Banstead Woods Leaflet, it should show. hope it helps. Best, Rob
