It takes an hour to shoot it all. There is infinite peace and entering the so-called temple of Neptune is a sound and visual experience that tastes of magic

The park is very large and there are very well preserved areas. Beautiful to see calmly and in the coolest hours of the day. On some walls there are also some frescoes unfortunately not well preserved but still beautiful!

Bacoli is a beautiful city to discover.
Every corner, street, park, house and thing hides treasures of priceless beauty.
All this, however, deserves greater attention and protection of all.

The visit to the Archaeological Park of Terme di Baia was a wonderful experience, even if bravely faced with the prohibitive temperatures of this merciless August!
Inside the ticket office there are kind and helpful people, who will give you all the explanations on the types of tickets, also providing you with a precious brochure, where this archaeological site is explained and mapped in every corner. It should be noted that the open air is divided into several levels connected by stairs not really easy: very high steps and sometimes a little 'rough, the presence of the handrail reassured me... but not too much!
In many strategic points of the of the archaeological area there are bilingual signs that provide very accurate explanations.
In some niches there are statues in a different state of preservation; there are also leftover mosaics.
The most recurring architectural elements are: the Roman arch is in the rooms "the opus reticolatum". Around this magnificent visit you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city and the port of Baia, at virtually every point and on every level of the of the visitable area.
Fortunately for me there were benches on each “floor” of the park, which allow you to catch your breath. The toilets were a perfect state. If you do not have major Mobility problems, I highly recommend a visit to the archaeological park of Baia!

It's an incredible sight. It's like stepping back into the past in such a captivating atmosphere. It is one of the most beautiful assets of our country.

It is a historical site unfortunately undersized and little publicized compared to its beauty that enchanted me. Sloping down on the marina and the Bay Gulf (the most beautiful gulf in the world in Roman times according to Horace), so particularly scenic with the sea ahead and surrounded by beautiful Mediterranean vegetation that makes you stay cool even in these hot summer days. The route winds coherently and you can admire what remains of a grandiose thermal complex, with mosaics, some statues, capitals, columns and two grandiose temples (of Venus and Diana). This place deserves the Travel and Recommendation; it certainly deserves more attention and in some areas more care.

Sito grande ma percorribile in minima parte in quanto gli accessi sino tutti chiusi. Inesistenti le informazioni. Sito con grandi potenzialità ma lasciato allo sbando

We visited on a self organised day trip to Baia from Naples. Getting there is fairly easy (and cheap) on the 101 (EAV) bus and takes about 40mins. The archaeological site has superb views, and whilst not on the same level of preservation as Pompei, still has some fabulous mosaics and buildings over several terraced levels, mainly a large bath complex. Even now in early summer there were only a couple of other people wandering around - so peaceful and atmospheric. The temple of Mercury was unfortunately closed when we visited, but that didn’t detract from our time spent there. Be aware there are a lot of steps, not huge amounts of information (but enough if you take time to read), and look out for the upside down tree!

We had already visited the site a few years ago, we returned taking advantage of the free visits on the first Sunday of the month. The spa retains its charm even if several areas were not open to visitors, and this is certainly due to the lack of safety measures by the Ministry of Culture, a real shame.
