Bellissimo borgo ben conservato, con un' atmosfera unica, quasi fuori dal tempo. Merita una visita anche per il buon cibo e il buon vino.

Needless to say, Italian medieval villages are an Absolute Magnificence.
But unfortunately, as often happens now, all this good of God offered and left out by our Posterity is ruined and surrounded by Locals and Shops of all kinds, which in some cases are even Useless.
Where you turn you find only Food and Drink and I can not agree because a well-targeted regulation would be enough to limit the havoc more and more
aimed at opening premises especially in villages like these that should only be preserved and protected.
However Bolgheri remains and will always be 'to visit and admire for its fabulous views.
Absolutely worth visiting.

small but enchanting.fascinating the road that you get to the village with 5 km of pines on the sides of strada.maestosi!! convenient parking and vicino.da not to be missed

Beautiful village, very characteristic, well maintained. Easy to reach. Convenient parking. Beautiful shops where you can still breathe the air of tradition.

I traveled to Bolgheri from Florence with a friend. My friend and I were very disappointed. We took a train from Florence to Bolgheri. The Bolgheri station is 7 km from Bolgheri with no means to travel to Bolgheri except a 90 min walk. The walk was fine - flat and scenic. However, very little to see and do in Bolgheri and then a 7 km walk back to the Bolgheri station. In addition, the Bolgheri station is closed on the weekends and we went on a Saturday. If you have a car and can drive to Bolgheri, probably worth a visit. If you are dependent on public transportation, it is a tough go.

It's like taking a dive into the past to visit this medieval village which, if it weren't for the cars and motorbikes, would truly feel like it was a few hundred years ago. Every time I go back it's always fantastic

Beautiful village inextricably linked to Carducci's poetry. The road to get there is iconic and, once there, an atmosphere of times gone by. Place of serenity!

The town is beautiful: you can breathe an atmosphere of times gone by.

Arrived with a typical double-decker bus from Donoratico… also nice and very cool…
We arrive in Bolgheri for an aperitif at 6.30pm and since everyone is set for dinner, no one bothers to seat us due to the effort of having to set the table again!
We find a wine shop that lets us sit down and since we have children, who certainly don't drink wine, they sit down with ice cream and are kindly asked to sit outside on a step (maybe next time I'll make them drink a nice glass of wine eh!!!!!)
I would say that the village doesn't deserve people like that... and if you don't know how to be in contact with people, don't go to public places, listen to me...
