We visited as a family of 5, the oldest child 11 and the youngest 6. The magnetic cog wall got a good work out and did the pretend teats on the bucket pretending to be a cow. The millers cottage was authentic but the garden needed a bit of work.
The windmill itself was very good with ladders right up to the top. Shame it wasn’t working although there was ample wind but I totally understand and support the decision based on the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II. The view from the very top was stunning.
The bread making was good for the kids. Don’t know if some of the cookie cutters were ideal for bread but there you go. The time it took to prove and bake was just enough for a cuppa and an iced bun. Perfect was to spend a morning.

Had a lovely morning visiting the windmill! Reasonable prices to see all of the history and windmill, just be aware of the ladders plus getting up and down. I saw everyone of all ages doing this but just be aware! The baking activity is cute but probably more for the kids due to the ‘loaf’ being tiny. Overall very cute and the home made cakes were delicious.

We visited on a Sunday morning after seeing the windmill recommended in a holiday cottage brochure. If we could give this attraction 6 stars we would. We loved climbing the windmill where we listened to the audio and took lots of photos. We watched one of the films in the outbuildings and bought some rolls from the bakery. Contrary to a previous review the toilet I used was clean and I am very fussy.

Such a lovely day out for all ages!! For a small site they have packed so much to do into it. Baking bread from scratch and climbing the mill was of course the highlight, but the extra things like finding the cat trail, all of the historical information, and the different little rooms where you could have a go at trying out different old fashioned ways of bread-making were just brilliant. So much effort put into the site which is definitely appreciated! Spent the whole afternoon here as a group of 3 20-somethings!

We stayed on the camp site with our 2 young kids (8 & 4) for 10 nights. It’s a lovely, safe, friendly site with clean facilities and lots for the kids to do. The games room was great and the kids loved the play area and the animals. The cafe serves delicious buns, cakes and breakfasts (excellent sausages!). Clean shower mats and tea towels are provided every day and the showers/toilets are cleaned twice daily. I regularly showered at 6:30 am and they had already been cleaned. The fridge & freezer space was very handy. We loved being able to see the sunrise and sunset! The pitches are very spacious and the site doesn’t feel crowded. We had a really wonderful stay and will definitely return.

Stayed last minute in one of their sheppards huts on site, i was able to stay with my children instead of my parents and the staff was very accomidating ,I'm very very impressed they have literally thought of everything, lovely showers games room washing machine for free , can go on the farm area whenever you would like. I stayed in a sheppards hut with my 2 children and there was plenty of room , we had a great time cooking and playing games provided , even a little bottle of wine ! The children I was happy for them to come and go and explore out of their open hrs , felt lovely and safe for children and had a lovely feel to the place Although I unfortunately didn't sleep very well due to fidgety children the experience was worth the lack of sleep. Wish I could of stayed longer, will definitely be back , highly recommended!

Visited here today, August, for the first time in ages, it was always a cute little place to take the kids. Found it much improved today, still small and friendly but a bit more activity and interactive than before. Kids loved it, little treasure hunt, dressing up, films on the history of the windmill, bread making with all the tools, aprons etc. still maintains the quaintly feel though. Entry fee reasonable, great choice of basic menu - toasties, baked potatoes etc. i had a delicious veggie quiche and salad, kids opted for beans on toast. Good range of yummy cakes and gift shop although we didn’t indulge in either today we were tempted! Animals to stroke and feed, sandpit, slide etc my kids were happy there for five hours today, probably would have stayed longer if we’d had time. Free onsite parking, campsite there too, clean facilities, nice staff, good for lunch and play for kids a very Norfolk feel about it.

Very happy with the cafe which we have visited several times this year. For example the jacket potatoes are large potatoes, that have NOT been over baked or reheated, with a generous amount of side salad, and good fillings. Value for money is good , and the food is visually well presented on the plate. The teapot for two has more tea than we can drink.
The person (probably the owner?) in charge behind the counter, keeps the queue to order food and drink moving well. A good lunch time experience. Best cafe we know in West Norfolk. Recommended.

Great working windmill play area disappointing and not very big don’t expect to spend along time there the cafe and staff clean and friendly and the fresh bakery at the bottom off the mill was a nice touch

We called in for the make your own bread experience. Get a fun although the experience only gave a very small loaf. While the bread was proving we visited the beautiful tea shop.
