Excellent pub with a decent range of beers and a roaring log fire. Packed with decent folk and their dogs! Community atmosphere- this is how pubs used to be. A real gem and our first stop next time we are in Poulton.

Unfortunately this pub has now become a meeting place for dog owners, on my last visit there were 4 dogs blocking access to the bar and several others obstructing seating areas. Going back a few years there was a No Dogs Allowed notice on the door, this should be reinstated.

By far the best pub on the Fylde coast. The Thatched House is a very old, traditional ale house in the heart of PLF. if you are visiting this market town you will find a warm welcome awaiting in what is the hub of the community. Roaring fires and a large selection of beers will tempt you to settle in and meet the friendly locals who are more than happy to chat about bygone years, the price of bread or simply while away the evening with anecdotes of mild amusement. Always plenty of great staff behind the bar so you will never experience the anguish of being ignored or leaving in a huff to go to Spoons. The landlord, Neil, patrols the traditional oak floors religiously to ensure everyone remains cheery and free from the attentions of ‘Lee.’ A lovely, friendly pub, great company, great staff, great landlord, great beers and a great atmosphere. Come and see for yourself and you’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome.

We met friends for Christmas drinks tonight we were met by friendly staff and made some friends wirh locals.
The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming.
There was a good variety of beers and wine and mulled wine to celebrate the festive period.
Would recommend 💯 %

Had a lovely evening in the thatched. The log fires were roaring and the great ales were flowing. I sampled four from the ten that were available and they were all excellent. Work called the next day or I may have tried one or two more.

Brilliant place and even better now that the San Miguel is back. What a great local ale house (and continental beers) . Always a safe place to go. Well done the Thatched and there great team.

Excellent pub with one of the best pints of Guinness on the fylde coast. If you are visiting poulton it’s a must and is good for all ages.

I have a slightly irritable Llaso Apso dog. I know you probably don't welcome animals in your fine establishment but its hoped, with my back ground and importance in the community you might turn a blind eye and warm plate of milk.
In return I'll not mention your weight any more.
