When you plan a trip to Læsø, you hear an exciting story about Læsø Salt Kur - a unique salt course site with healing salt water pools in a unique Læsø Kur building - an old harbor church converted into a health center.
We were looking forward to the visit, but things went wrong for us when the [mis]communication of the previous experiences ruined the experience itself.
About two months before our extended weekend at Læsø, we booked a "two-hour spa visit before closing time for two people" by email, which Læsø Kur asks for on the website. That time we received friendly service, had our questions clarified in writing and were kindly recommended to move our spa visit from Friday to Saturday so that we could enjoy adult hours at the spa.
Two days before our visit, I called to make sure the appointment was still in place. After several calls with no answer, happily Læsø Kur called back (ie Læsø Kur could see my number that I called from). Just for the record, I verbally reiterated what reservation and "from-to" time our reservation was for, and it was confirmed that everything was in order.
When we arrived at the spa, we were told that our two-hour visit for two will be cut in half, as there are new opening hours that came into effect the day before. We wondered about it when it was confirmed both by e-mail and by telephone that the agreement was in place. The receptionist showed us a book with Læsø Kur's handwritten reservations and told us that the problem was that we have not provided a phone number and they could not contact us. It was as if we had made a mistake and were to blame for not being able to have the full experience that we booked.
Firstly, I was never asked for my number, but what about my numerous e-mails where my number is stated in the e-mail signature, as well as direct phone calls to my number from Læsø Kur? Secondly, why doesn't Læsø Kur use a digital reservation system for seat reservations to minimize such errors?
The receptionist noted that mistakes happen and smiled. Period. There was a long and awkward pause. There was no intention to correct the error on the part of the receptionist until my husband asked what Læsø Kur would do to compensate for the error in the pre-communication.
The receptionist said that only the manager could decide such matters.
We asked the receptionist to call the manager. This again was not at all something that the receptionist proactively suggested herself.
We did not manage to get hold of the manager, but after unsuccessful calls, the receptionist offered us to pay 1/2 price of the purchased package due to lack of communication. We agreed to this solution.
Peace & relaxation did not happen as we rushed through the saunas and pools for approximately the remaining 40 minutes out of 120, which we were sincerely looking forward to. We were not shown around the place, we were not informed by the staff of e.g. how to use the steam sauna, that you can pick up salt at reception, but luckily we were told by other visitors.
There were other customers who arrived after us who had also not been informed of changed opening hours and were not offered any form of compensation at all. Unfair! One of the guests was in the spa the day before, and was not informed about upcoming changes in opening hours.
The day after our visit, I googled "Læsø Kur" and could still see misleading opening times indicated in the search results. I was wondering that since there is no cost to create and manage a business profile on Google other than the time it takes to add and update the information.
The pre-experience and communication creates and supports expectations for the visit and clarifies the practicalities.
We hope that Læsø Kur will look at how they give guests the right first impression. Ours was not positive: neither before nor during.

After a bit cold welcome, staff has been very nice and helpful. The place is amazing with very nice points of view, different water pools incl one salty, hammam and sauna and very good places to rest or eat a light lunch (as vegetarian, i was anyway not impressed by the sandwich). My friends got 1,5 hour massage and were very happy of that.

En gammel kirke blev købt for en krone og så byggede man det om til et fantastisk sted for velvætttt

Jeg stod med problemer, da jeg havde bestil opholdet en forkert dato. Personalet på stedet var så venlige og forstående (modsat Læsø pakkerejser). Der var god service hele vejen igennem og så var det selvfølgelig en rigtig dejlig oplevelse hele vejen igennem. Specielt saltbadet kunne vi lide.

Ligger fint i den gamle kirke, der er adgang til rum oppe øverst hvor der er en fin udsigt. Der er sat sækkestole op så man kan sidde og nyde roen.
Blev lidt skuffet over det ikke var større.
Der er kun et saltbad (eller 2 i et.) Havde nok regnet med at der var mere eftersom de slår sig op på det.
Der var et stort bassin, saltbassin, varmtvandsbassin og et spa udendørs og sauna og dampbad.
Der var vand og frugt med - frugt var hele æbler og pærer.
Alt i alt et fint sted men alt for dyrt 475 kr. pr person havde det kostet det halve havde det været helt fair.
Blev lidt skuffet over det ikke var større.
Der er kun et saltbad (eller 2 i et.) Havde nok regnet med at der var mere eftersom de slår sig op på det.
Der var et stort bassin, saltbassin, varmtvandsbassin og et spa udendørs og sauna og dampbad.
Der var vand og frugt med - frugt var hele æbler og pærer.
Alt i alt et fint sted men alt for dyrt 475 kr. pr person havde det kostet det halve havde det været helt fair.

Dejligt kurbad - god service og en skøn massage af Helena. Kommer helt sikkert igen ❤️ dejligt med frugt og vand, samt at man kunne købe en øl 🇩🇰

Er ikke selv specialist i spa og wellness men syntes Læsø Kur gør det godt.
En udendørs jacuzzi, en sauna et dampbad og et større bassin med indbygget jacuzzi hule, på toppen to varme Saltbade, det er indbygget meget flot i en tidligere kirke så der er også flot udsigt

Fik lavet ansigtbehandling sammen med min teenager datter.
Super hyggeligt sted og sødt personale.
Lidt ærgerligt over der ikke står i beskrivelsen, det er en wellness behandling og ikke en rigtig behandling.
Synes det er dyrt for en halv time som ikke er behandling, men ren afslapnings behandling.

På hjemmesiden er det ikke muligt at booke billetter/indgang, og der står flere steder, at det ikke er nødvendigt at booke indgang. Du skal bare møde op. Da vi kommer er alt booket og vi bliver derfor afvist. Utrolig dårlig service og informering.
