This was a great little tour/experience with a couple of really good guides.
While it was explained it’s an “enter at your own risk” type of tour they provided a safety briefing for all comers.
Well worth the time to do!

We had a great time snowmobiling on Christmas Day. We had booked two single rides however were informed on the day that one of the snowmobiles wasn’t working so were offered a full refund or a tandem ride. While disappointing, Lion only charged us for one single rider and we changed driver half way through. The safety briefing was informative and the tour itself had great views.

Good safety briefing and practice run. Lovely run on a track by the river, very scenic. Some of us had a tandem ride which was good for the teens (13) as they could have a turn at driving. Good mix of terrain and really good fun. Maybe needed a bit longer as the time went really quickly.

Enjoyable introduction to snow mobiles, albeit only 60mins. Could have allowed the tandem riders to each have a practice before setting out. An enjoyable experience and definitely recommended as an experience cor those who have never ridden before.

It was an awesome and amazing activity. The 2 guides were superb and friendly. Meeting point at Lion Cafe is Hakuba is so convenient for us and they dropped us back to our accommodation after the ride. Definitely recommend!

Unprofessional. Very late picking us up, we probably waited longer for the pickup than riding their snowmobiles. We paid for an hour ride that ended up being just over 45 minutes including 'stops', which appeared to be just time killers.
Snowmobiles were old and past their time.
Not sure how an organisation like this is staying in business.
Don't waste your time or money.

The trip was well organised and our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and easy to chat with. The snow monkeys were gorgeous, the lunch was delicious and the sights were memorable. I would have liked more time to explore the village we had lunch in but overall it was a great day, despite the rain!

We just finished our snowmobile tour today in the afternoon and was extremely disappointed and unsatisfied. The tour is supposed to be 1hr, including 10mins introduction and training plus 50 mins ride, but actually is less than hour one in total, out of which 10mins was spent on scattering helmets (which is included in the tour time) to the group and 10 more mins for the training (which is okay) and the ride is about 30mins only. The road condition was so bad (rough and extremely bumpy), the organizer said they suffered for by the lack of snow situation, but our point is if there is not enough snow, they should not offer the tour. They are responsible to offer a satisfactory tour. The tour is not worthwhile at all and the staff in the centre is not helpful and unfriendly. Will give no star is possible.

Went with a friend on two singles for an hour, 9:45am after a night of fresh snowfall. Wow. Amazing scenery. We couldn't figure out on the map where we were but we covered a small hill near Hakuba village (somewhere between Happoone and Tsugaike) from base to top and back down. Anyway, Patrick covered the instructions part - very clear and to the point. Sasa was our guide. Was our first time on these things but having had experience on jetskis and quads this was not as easy but pretty similar. The trail was wonderful, parts curvy and unpredictable, parts long flat strips for peeling off as well as 2 open areas for fun. Sasa lead at a great pace. Giving us a good fun chase at times while always keeping an eye on us. A few photo ups with great views. Afterwards we hit the slopes but still talked about the snowmobiles lol. I would totally, totally recommend this.

Hey mate, we booked it through the lodge we stay at. We stayed at Penke Panke and the staff had brochures about everything. Can't go wrong..
