From the port are about 15/20 minute walk. There were very few people and the color of the sea was spectacular. We saw 2 turtles and lots of little fish. There is a small bar if you are hungry or thirsty. Unfortunately by 4pm we had to leave to take the ferry (if they started a little later)

I went by rental bicycle from the port, and it took about 10 minutes to get there. There is a gentle slope along the way, but it was enough to burn even without an electric bicycle. If you walk, it will take about 20 to 30 minutes, so unless you have plenty of time, I recommend renting a bicycle near the port. Since I visited in March, it was empty, and compared to Furuzamami, which I had visited before coming here, the natural environment remained untouched and the sea was clear and beautiful. All swimmers were wearing wetsuits. There is a place to sit and rest under a small observation deck, so I think it would be a good idea to enjoy lunch while looking out at the sea from here.

La isla Aka es un lugar muy tranquilo sin tantos turistas como la isla Zamami.
Aunque no era tan interesante para hacer snorkeling, esta playa es un buen sitio para pasar un rato relajante.

This beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, the lifeguards speak English and Japanese. It's a fifteen minute walk from the ferry terminal and there are toilets and change rooms.

日本でNO1のビーチだと思います。シュノーケリングをしましたが、浜辺からすぐの所に色とりどりの魚が泳いでいる。ちょっと、日本の他の浜辺では考えられない光景がそこにはありました。「珊瑚が死んでいる」という口コミもありましたが、訪れる人が減っているためか回復している印象でした。午後にはウミガメもゆっくりと泳いでいるところを目撃できました。港から自転車で５分(ちょっとした高低差がある)で、この景色は見られません。素晴らしい場所です。

A long stretch of white sand on the north side of Aka island. We were here in December and had it all to ourself. It is not at hot as during peak season but still warm and good for snorkelling. Het a wet suit and glasses and then horizontal floating while looking a crazy coloured sea creatures doing their busy fish city stuff around coral high rises. It was beautiful and suddenly this huge black shadow came towards me from further out. It was a huge ray of some sort. And there was a sea turtle just under me. It was hard to decide where to watch all at once. Kerama National Park is truly special.

阿嘉島で最大のビーチです。訪問時はシーズンオフでしたので訪問者は少なく、シャワーなどの施設も営業していませんでした。しかし乍ら、ビーチから眺める景色だけでも一見の価値があります。

There is not any safety net, only buoys limiting swimming area. I was there this afternoon (early August) and I've not seen any jellyfish. Instead it was plenty of sea-snakes. I've seen 4 in not even15 mins snorkelling, probably because it has rained in the morning an sky was partially clouded so water was colder than usual. As you can guess I stopped snorkelling at once
