2024.10 Saturday / Onioshidashien (Kusatsu, Tsumagoi no Tabi)
[Time required] 1 hour 30 minutes [Cost] 700 yen per person (JAF discount 100 yen), but 800 yen per person with a set ticket with Tsumagoi Folk Museum [Parking] Free
[ Impressions ] It is just around the corner from the tollgate of Onioshi Highway (370 yen cash only).
There are multiple Directions for sightseeing and you can choose between them in the time it takes. We went to Kannondo with a view of Asama Mountain on the way to Omotesando. On the way back, we saw the flame Kannon before returning to the Highlands Plant Observation Course. The road is paved with asphalt, which is no problem for strollers, and there were many people with dogs.
It was a little early for the autumn colors, but I am glad I came because there are many buildings that smell like Showa and there are mysterious lava flow views.

・Individual Adult Junior high school student or older (700 yen)
・ Tsumagoi Village, Azuma County, Gunma Prefecture Onioshidashi Garden is located at the end of the Onioshidashi Highway.
・The "Onioshi Highway" for visiting here is a toll road. If you visit by local car from Karuizawa area, you need 2 x "Toge no Chaya - Onioshidashi (280 yen)" (for round trip).
・If you want to go sightseeing with Onioshidashi-en, you can save 1,000 yen on a one-day free pass for Onioshidashi Expressway and Shiraito Highland Way. It also seems to have various coupons (I later realized and regretted it lol)

・Now, speaking of Karuizawa, Onioshidashi-en and Shiraito-no-taki are the two biggest Things to do in my mind. So, if you come to Karuizawa, I will definitely stop by.
The eruption of Mount Asama in 1783 during the Edo period. Onioshidashi Garden is where the lava flow that flowed out at that time still remains. People in the past truly believed that 'Oni lived in Mt. Asama,' and when they saw the state after the eruption of Mt. Asama, they said, 'It was an eruption caused by Oni!' That's why it was spontaneously named "Onioshidashi."
· It is a nice service to have a "promenade map" in front of the entrance with three model courses of 60 minutes, 40 minutes and 30 minutes.
· As there were 2 infants, the minimum course was 30 minutes as before.
・"Sengenzan Kannon-do Hall" located in the center of the park was built in May 1958 to hold a memorial service for the spirits of the victims of the eruption of Sengenzan. Kaneiji's Sho Kanzeon Bosatsu is enshrined as an evil repellent, and it is said that the main hall door is opened on the 18th of every month as a gokai-do.
・As you get closer to Kannon-do Hall, the smell of incense sticks wafts through the air, creating a solemn and somewhat pleasant atmosphere.
・The view seen from the side of Kannon-do Hall was also a superb 180 degree panoramic view.
・Onioshidashi-en, where visitors can enjoy souvenir shop odango and amazake at the on-site shop, dine at the oni-meshi restaurant (Oni-meshi center), and enjoy the scenery from the observation room on the 3rd floor for about 1 to 3 hours, depending on how they play. How about stopping by Karuizawa for a memory? Thank you very much.

During the Obon period, we light up and open at night, so I went there. I think it was the best time of day because it was just around sunset and we could still see the shape of Mt. It is incomparably cool from the flatlands of the Kanto Plain, but quite cool compared to the area around the station in Karuizawa, where I enjoyed a brief evening cool.

Huge, rugged lava rocks spread out all over the place, conveying the horror of the great eruption of Mt. Asama.
The walking trails are paved, so even small dogs can walk there with ease. The Kannon Hall at the top of the hill is dog-friendly, and even has fortune-telling slips for dogs.

Great view over Mount Asama as well as the lava rocks that were formed from the eruption of the volcano. We headed there around noon on a Saturday, and the park was still pleasantly quiet and there were not many others around, making it a very peaceful experience. There are several trails to choose from within the park, with several sitting areas along the way.
Access-wise, Seibu buses run straight from Karuizawa station, but infrequently, especially on weekends.

16：00頃についたので、17：00閉館までの短時間観光でした。
予想よりずっと立派な自然観光施設で驚きです。
自然の力の偉大さを体感出来ました。
駐車場からチケット売り場まで徒歩１０分ほどかかります。チケット代金を支払ってから表参道を通って、岩の間の舗装歩道を、緩やかに登りつつ歩くと鮮やかな朱色の柱のお堂（鐘楼堂しょうろうどう）があり、その前の茶屋でお団子やお焼き、ソフトクリームを食べました。帰り道は高山植物観察コースを歩きたかったですが、大人しく最短の裏参道を通って帰って来ました。次回来たら、鐘楼堂からもっと奥へ行ける奥の院参道へ行って、沢山の植物を見てみたいです。
予想よりずっと立派な自然観光施設で驚きです。
自然の力の偉大さを体感出来ました。

初めて訪れる観光地。今までにない景色と壮大感でした。出来れば花が咲いている夏がベスト。駐車場も広い。ゆっくり回って1時間半位です。朝イチで回るのがオススメです。

群馬が誇るジオパークに夏の終わりに訪れた。小冊子を見せて１００円引き、更にクーポンを使って、大人２人で現金１００円で入場できた。浅間山が吐き出した溶岩の量、形は他に比類がない。残念ながら霧で浅間山は見えず、高山植物は終わっていた。

・おとな 中学生以上 個人（650円） にて入園させていただきました。
※こども 小学生 個人は450円となります。15名以上~の団体割引もありました。
・江戸時代の天明3年（1783年）に起こった浅間山の噴火。その際に流出した溶岩流が今も残る場所、それが「鬼押出し園」です。昔の方々は、「浅間山には鬼が住んでいる」とまことしやかに信じられており、この浅間山の噴火後の状態を見て、「鬼が起こした噴火だ！」ということで自然発生的に「鬼押出し」と名付けられたとか。
・幼いころにも訪問した記憶があり、軽井沢=鬼押出し園というイメージがありました。大人になり、子供が出来て再び訪れてみよう、ということでの再訪です。
・平日の訪問ということもあってか、時代の流れに逆らえず廃れてしまった感じが否めない園内とその周辺。しかし、自然的に広がる溶岩「鬼押出し」は変わらずに圧巻の風景でした。
・中央に構える「浅間山観音堂」を中心に、見晴台や参道や植物が広がり、しっかり歩けば60分も散策が出来る観光スポットです。モデルコースとして、、60分・40分・30分の3種のコースを記した「遊歩マップ」なるものが入り口前にあることは嬉しいサービス。
・ベビーカーを押しての散歩でしたので、「浅間山観音堂」までの散歩にしました。夏なのに、下界と全然違う涼しさ。山なのに、木がなく周囲が見渡せる清々しさ。隆々とそびえる溶岩。少しの距離の散策でも、他の観光スポットにはない特別感を感じれるスポットでした。
※ベビーカーで行かれる方は下りの際の坂道に注意が必要です。そこまで危険さを感じないにもかかわらず、油断してうっかり手を離すと転がって飛んで行ってしまいます。ビビりな私たちは手に汗を握りながら下りました💦
・料金的には、入園料650円に加えて、ここに来るまでの有料道路 280円（片道）×2 が必要になります。（22年7月現在）
・それでも大体1000円で、他にはない景観や自然、特別感を味わえるスポットなので、一度は訪問してみることをお勧めします。軽井沢に来られた際には是非一度立ち寄ってみられてはいかがでしょうか。ありがとうございました。
