Beautiful walk around the nature reserve, very friendly and helpful staff at the visitor centre, all of whom really love what they do. Walk was lovely, well set up and marked, we saw lots of wildlife, fauna and butterflies. The views of the broad from the hides and viewpoints are also stunning. One of the most peaceful places to visit and the highlight of our holiday away.

Lovely views of Blickling Broad. Very peaceful. I live locally so will go again. A bit of a hidden gem!

Very friendly and helpful staff and the many good footpaths around the reserve meant that we happily spent most of a day there. There was a great range of wildlife including several Swallowtail butterflies which were our main reason for our holiday. We recommend the boat trip too.

We arrived just in time to book ourselves on the boat trip, telling the ladies in the shop that it was our Wedding Aniversary. A brisk walk to the boat and we were given our life jackets and a safety talk. Our guide and skipper gave us a running commentary of what we were seeing and hearing. We stopped off to go up the viewing platform and look over the surrounding countryside. I'm not a fan of heights but the view was amazing.
We got back on the boat and returned to the mooring. Take your binoculars as you see lots of wildlife. While travelling through a narrow channel in the reeds I spotted an Otter.
Back at the visitor centre we bought a few bits and had an ice-cream. The ladies then surprised us with a card for our anniversary. Thank you for giving us an afternoon to remember. I'm sure we will be back.

What a wonderful place to go to relax and refresh one's body and mind. Not too busy, friendly locals and beautiful scenery. An abundance of wildlife -- hedgehogs, deer, hares, swans, raptors, pheasants and every kind of waterfowl imaginable.

A lovely, peaceful place to walk and experience a broad without boats whizzing about. We took the two hour electric boat trip which was excellent. We saw avocets, bearded tit, cranes and marsh harriers a plenty! We were able to visit islands and areas off-limits to others and to learn about the history and geography of the area.

We walked in a big circle around the nature reserve, stopping in the hides as we went along. It is a magical place. Often silent with just the rustling of the reeds. Did not see much, some ducks, a buzzard and a moorhen. But it was sunny and the views are so calming.

The two-hour Norfolk Wildlife boat trip on 26 July was our best Norfolk boat trip, and we did a lot! Amazing bird hides, saw avocets, terns, spoonbills, grebes. Climbed up a vertiginous tower with views across the landscape (optional!). Walking trails through the reserve and excellent modern visitor centre and picnic area, and ample parking. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Only regret that we did not have time on our holiday to return and spend another day here. Need to book boat trips in advance.

We visited Hickling Broad several times during our short holiday in the area. It is a good place to find birds, butterflies and dragonflies. Despite the weather not being wonderful we still had some very good sightings. Sadly we missed the Swallowtail butterflies so we hope to visit again in the future.
