gunung prau merupakan salah satu gunung di indonesia yg sering didaki para pendaki, bagi para pemula yg ingin mencoba mendaki bisa mencoba gunung ini, letaknya berada di wonosobo, ada beberapa pilihan jalur yg bisa dipakai, jika kalian kesini jgn lupa bawa peralatan lengkap dan amunisi makanan yg banyak. jika kita bisa mendaki sampai atas kita akan bisa menikmati pemandangan yg sangat indah. harga tiketnya sekitar 15 rb .

Gunung yang cocok untuk pemula, karena ketika kita start dari basecamp (Kalilembu) sudah berada di -/+ 2050 MDPL.
Berangkat hari minggu, sepanjang pendakian hanya bertemu dengan 1 grup pendaki untuk posisi naik. Sayangnya ketika sampai di puncak full kabut. Start 7.30 dari basecamp sampai di puncak 9.30, untuk yang sudah ahli mungkin hanya membutuhkan waktu sekitar 45 menit - 1 jam.
Simaksi Basecamp Kalilembu per orang = 15RB
Parkir = 10RB

Besides being able to see the golden sunrise, from the peak of Mt Prau, we can see several other mountains, such as Mount Sindoro, Mount Sumbing, Mount Merbabu, Mount Telomoyo, and also Mount Slamet in the west. We really like being in a land above the clouds.

Still stuck in my memory of my first ascent in Central Java, I arrived at the summit of Mount Prau on that day to enjoy the sunset, the red sky turned orange and then turned bluish and then darkened, close my tiring day. And when I wake up in the morning, I deliberately hunt the sunrise and watch the black sky turn purple, the best moment is when the sun starts to rise slowly, Java Island is very exotic.

Dieng keren banget diliat dari Prau, cocok untuk pendaki pemula. Bisa menggunakan jalur Dworowati supaya anti mainstream.

Gunung prau 2565Mdpl terletak di dieng wonosobo ini bena2 gunung yang indah,bagi pendaki pemula saya menyarankan jalur via dieng karena tidak terlalu menanjak,ada 3 pos saat pendakian,dan saat fajar siap2 dimanjakan dengan golden sunrise yang luar biasa indah,selamat mendaki

Easy hike - one would be able to reach the basecamp in 1hr30min-3hours depending on your pace. No rush unless u would want to reach the peak before camping. Recommended to start the hike in the afternoon, we start hiking at 230pm and reach just in time before the sunset. There's no water source so make sure to bring enough water and also wind breaker and face mask ; the wind is so strong!

At first we wanted to go to Mt Merbau's midnight hike. However, that was not possible due to forest fires and so we picked Mt Prau instead. The hike was not very long, perhaps about 2h max to reach the peak. We hiked relatively quickly and we had good fitness levels. I can imagine it would take someone less fit slightly longer t get up. The sunrise was super beautiful and we could see Mt Merapi and Merbabu in the background.
The mountain is very cold so do bring a thick jacket and a windbreaker. Gloves are also reccommended.
We started at 330am and reached back the base at about 8am.

when I arrived at Dieng, rain welcomed me and the team from the Java Private Tour that I entrusted to accompany my activities while on the island of Java, precisely in the Village of Patak Banteng. From this village, one of my climbing points to the top of Mount Prau began. From this point me and the team from the Java Private Tour are getting ready to take a step by step trip to the top of the mountain in the Wonosobo area of Central Java. Mount Prau became one of my favorite mountains in Central Java, because of the beautiful scenery, and to go to this mountain the track was also not difficult for beginners. The trip does not take more than 3 hours, I was able to get an extraordinary view, at the top of Mount Prau I can see a row of other mountains, starting from Mount Sindoro, Mount Sumbing, Mount Merapi, Mount Merbabu, and Mount Lawu. And when I was at the peak of Mount Prau, there was one thing that was also very interesting to me, namely the existence of mounds of hills very similar to telletubies houses. No wonder the peak of Mount Prau is often referred to as Teletubies Hill.

This climb is said to be one of the easier climbs in Java. I had booked this last minute because the other mountains were closed due to fires. I had gotten a guide, and we started from Dieng at about 2.15am. After the basecamp there were 4 POS: small rest-stops which were separated by about 30-45 mins of hiking. The climb between POS 2 and 3 was the hardest but still just walking. We reached the summit at about 5am, but we walked for another 20 mins to reach the viewpoint. No technical climbing involved, no scrambling at all. This was a nice walk in the woods. Many people were camped near the top, especially at the viewpoint, waiting for the sunrise. The sunrise itself surprised me. We were treated to quite a view, comprising of the gorgeous orange-hued sunrise, several of the nearby volcanoes, and the Lautan Awan, or Sea of Clouds. Truly an amazing sight! The walk down was beautiful as well. We went during the dry season and we were walking through this gorgeous woodland. Occasionally we got glimpses of the Dieng plateau as well. Oh, and bring sufficient clothing, it reached 6 deg C and was VERY windy. 10/10 would recommend!

mohon bantuan info..bl dr sby.sebaiknya melalui jogja ato salatiga -wonosobo ?? naik KA..utk yg belum pernh mendaki sebaik nya lwt jalur yg mn ?? dari ulasan yg d posting..apkh memang melalui area pemakaman.bgmn klo naiknya dini hari ?? mel padang savana .apakah mengkuatirkan ttg adanya semisal ular , kadal atau yg lainnya..? bgmn bila ada panggilan (maaf) buang air ??tks

Lots of public transportation that goes to this place, from Semarang, Yogyakarta and other areas, but I suggest you use transportation and tourism services, which of course must be reliable and can also maintain your security. So you do not need to go up and down changing types of transportation to get to this place, because it will be very troublesome, and very difficult to find people around who can speak English, there is one that I often use if I do research, special requests or business needs or for vacation, I always use Java Private Tour service. You can check on Google, they are very well known throughout Java, and that is recommended by the embassy. they can provide accomodation,transportation and any activity you want.
