Always enjoy a visit to garrion bridge, the cafe is always good for lunch, enjoying visiting the antique centre, as a model bus collector I always get a bargain, I bought 2 models at £15 each. Came home and searched the very same models and noticed on eBay they are up to £30 dearer. Look for what U want then c if U can get it there at at least half the price. Certainly will go back

Absolutely brilliant service for us all, food was fantastic, we had salad, macaroni and steak pie.
We sat outside as we had our dog with us, thank you to Selina, she made us feel so welcome and made such a fuss with Bertie our dog 🐶

I got a cheese & onion panini with chips and my Nana got macaroni cheese.
I also got a chocolate brownie and Nana got a strawberry tart.
The lunch was nice enough but I found it a bit strange that they put a handful of grated cheese on my plate instead of more salad or coleslaw.

What happened, it just seems to be winding down over the years. The cafe, food nice but almost £14.00 for 2 breakfast rolls and 2 small teas...really !!! The antiques centre is even not as good as usual. Every time we go there is always a strong smell of cigarette smoke at the back, against the law ?. We were going to buy an item, was broken in a piece, asked if there was any movement slightly in the price. FLAT NO !!!. if i was wearing a bargain hunt jacket i probably would have got it for pennies. The staff there are not helping sellers make some money if thats the way they operate. The place just seems to be losing its appeal. Never again, Doune is far nicer to go to for a run, sadly

The main problem with this place is that they start winding down from about 4.40pm, when the lights go out in the Antiques part, and they turn on the tannoy system to advise you to take your purchases to the till asap. Sometimes, a staff member sits at the door entrance/exit, ready to close the doors if you're one of the last people out.
Recently, when visiting mid-afternoon, the tannoy came on just after 4pm to say they would be closing as soon as they could - at the latest it would be 4.30pm. You can't possibly run a business like that, as some customers may have wanted to come in after their work for a quick browse. The closing time is 5pm as advertised.
This makes for quite an unwelcoming atmosphere, and you would never get that at any of the other Garden Centres locally. We spoke to another couple who felt very rushed out of the Antiques area at the same time as us.
The least welcoming Garden Centre in the Clyde Valley, sad to say. You need to do more to encourage folks to come to your place.

We have been customers of this centre for many years and visited today with our 8 month old puppy. We reached the kitchen display area and were met by an irate lady who expressed in no uncertain terms that dogs are not allowed in that area.
In this modern world most companies including restaurants and garden centres cater for the doggie owners but this centre places restrictions for no legitimate reason, we left immediately and spent our money in another garden centre which welcomed dogs without reservation.
Pathetic attitude and not good for man’s best friend, will steer clear and advise my friends where to go for dog friendly people!

I lost my mum’s engagement ring a week ago at Garrion Bridges. Everyone I spoke to was so understanding and all looked high and low for the ring. Today it was found and they were straight on the phone to tell me. Sam even had it sparkling. We were crying and laughing together. A huge thank you lovely people. Looking forward to many more years of our weekly family lunch where you know our order better than we do :) x

Excellent culinary experience with retail therapy later provided by friendly very efficient staff supplemented by management at a very busy time, we were very impressed as a table was booked whilst we queued & we were even entertained by I suspect the owner clearing tables & his wife at the counter, thank you so much for making our day, the food was great too.

We visited the “antiques” part of the facility, the inverted commas because a lot of what was on display would not pass the antique litmus test. Much of what was on offer was either recently painted artwork, contemporary jewellery, contemporary clothing, 50’s collectables, or random collections of “old stuff”! Fun to wander around the large facility on a rainy afternoon after visiting the restaurant for lunch - best to get a table and number before lining up to order.

I have been in garrison bridges lots of times and have only ever seen guide dogs etc. Might be an idea to call the centre first. It's a lovely place, well worth a visit.

I have been in when there was someone selling to buyer. I do not know if they already knew the people or not. The issue would be that the owners of the collections are not always in. If you can imagine everything is for sale by the staff, but each unit or display is individually owned so the staff cannot buy from you. The owner of the particular area would need to be there when you went in. Hope this helps
