old temple with lots of story

mini Switzerland as the place is called . old and small temple but well maintained. you dont have mucht do around so go and have a look

Once you visit this temple you feel positive and spiritual. Goddess was very powerful. And people visit alot but no basic facilities available.

Nice place to be in

You can have a very relaxed stay at the Khajjiar, main attraction is the beautiful field with the lake in the middle of it. If you want to go around you will definitely like the old course also.

The most famous tourist spot in Dalhousie

Khajjiar is the most sought after & famous tourist destination in Dalhousie. It is also referred to as the mini Switzerland of India in winters when the entire valley is covered with snow. Many famous Bollywood films were shot here & there are beautiful pine forests around the valley & some scenic forest bungalows. If you can manage to spend one night in any of these bungalows it will be a worth remembering experience. You can enjoy horse rides & other activities at this place.

Our visit toGolden Devi Temple khajjiar

The temple located in the midst oof the ground & an almost dry pond is a heritage temple.The ground itself has several attractions like horse riding, rolling balloon , para gliding etc.While I enjoyed riding the horse I & my wife enjoyed going in the rolling balloon.There is also a small cottage where a song for "1942 a Love Story" was shot.

Review of the temple, not of the valley

Situated in the midst of the Khajjiar valley, near the almost non-existent lake, this calm old temple stands proudly since times immemorial
However, due to the development of the tourist boom, this temple has been overshadowed by a large number of run-of-the-mill hotels and cafes, which have absolutely spoiled the view and dirtied the place and spoiled the atmosphere.(one of them is called Puri Hotel...I mean come on...Puri is a sea beach in Orissa)
However, the temple is small, quiet and nice and is a few minutes walk through the lush green meadows from Hotel Devdar as well as from the lake)

Mini Switzerland of Himachal Pradesh

This place is famous for it’s beauty and the big lush gardens covered with the tall Devdhar trees. This place is called the mini Switzerland of Himachal Pradesh. If you have kids with you then it is a must visit place for them because this place have so much activities for kids.

The landscape is really wonderful with a small lake and a temple in the middle of large ground surrounded by lots of conifers trees....number of restaurants in the vicinity with parking facility.....

Beautiful location

Very beautiful place with lush green platue .loved this place a lot.deodar trees around this platue makes this place beautiful.There are many activities like zorbing , paragliding,horse riding etc.

A beautiful place with a central dirty pond

The place is very beautiful with a big grassy ground surrounded by large trees. Children can have fun eating and taking photos with rabbits and sheep.
The very bad point is the central pond in the ground which is very dirty and nullifies all the beauty of this place. Also the road to Khajjiar is very bad.
