The temple is really good and well maintained. This temple is very commercial. For everything you have to pay(darshana, mobile and footwear deposits) this temple is not like Tirupati or Tirumala.
Had a bad experience with auto and taxi drivers. While getting in auto they told different price and while getting down they took 200 rs more than what we finalized.
Really I am telling the people's are not at all good and supportive. They treat other state peoples very bad. They speak only Tamil(few people English) even though they know other languages.
Note:Auto driver will ask 600rs for one side(only drop to temple). Don't fall in their trap.
Cheap and best way to reach temple from Tirupati is,
Take a train from Tirupati to katpadi junction it's around 65rs per head. Take auto from katpadi to old bus stand 20rs from bus stand to golden temple is 30rs. So total around 120rs you will reach.

Situated within 10 kms from Vellore, Sri Puram Lakshmi Narayani Temple (better known as Golden Temple) is a landmark in Vellore.
The temple sits in a plot of over 100 acres which includes the park as well.
The charitable trust that built the temple is called Sri Narayani Peedam
The outer parikrama of the temple is built in star shape.
One has to follow the star shaped footpath to complete the darshan of the temple.
On following the star pathway one can reach first shrine which is of a beautiful solid Silver Ganapati. The positive feelings we get here is immense.
As we continue our journey in the star shaped foot path we can witness various trees, and beautiful statues apart from beautiful sign boards with attractive messages. Well maintained decorated gardens are also present all along the star pathway.
Then we can reach the inner Parikrama containing the main golden temple housed amidst a small water body. As we walk around inner parikrama we can witness the water lined corridors and we can also have a darshan of the golden works on the main temple temple’s exterior.
The main golden shrine houses Sri Lakshmi Narayani Devi.
The deity is so beautiful and majestic that on having darshan of it one will forget themselves and completely immerse in the deity.
On completing the darshan of the golden shrine we will be at the shrine of Swarna Lakshmi (made up of 70+ kg of solid gold).
All the abhisekas and other poojas are performed here by the devotees on payment of required charges.
On continuing further in the star pathway, we can reach Balaji Temple beautifully decorated and with majestic look. This is the most rewarded moment of the journey.
As we come out of Balaji temple, we for sure will feel satisfied and fulfilled.
The crowd here depends on the day.
During weekends and holidays the crowd will be more.
You may have to resort to paid darshans to overcome the crowd.
On availing the paid darshans one can have the advantage of sitting in front of Goddess Lakshmi in the golden shrine quite some time when Kumkum archanas are performed on behalf of us and prasadams are given to us.
This way you may have a beautiful darshan in the golden shrine.
The shoes, cell phones, cameras etc will have to be deposited in the designated counters before entering the temple area.
The star pathway is very comfortable.
Enough provisions are made for drinking water and resting seats all along the pathway in case devotees need the same during the walking process.
Wheelchairs and special entry facilities are also provided for the sake of senior citizens and differently abled devotees. Adequate parking facilities are provided in the campus.
There are many shops where you can visit along the pathway.
My visit here was a pleasant experience to me.
It gave me immense satisfaction apart from a sense of fulfilment. One must visit here for a great experience internally.

Who even think it's a temple? From the parking to ticket counters & the so-called temple visit, you can feel it's a place to mint money. In every inch of the premises you will find their own advertisement & glorifying their VIP visitors.
Waste of time & money by coming to this place. If you can, please avoid this place. You will not find peace or bhakti here.

A long walk , no shuttle service

Very good experience. Very long walk from the start. Well maintained gardens and temples. Temple structure is very good and captivating. There are souvenir shops after the temple visit is done. Male devotees have to go with bare upper body if they want to do sewa. There are different kinds of tickets starting from Rs 100 for different kind of sewas. Overall a good experience.

It is a beautiful temple. The temple complex is large. Along with the main Narayani goddess, the complex has Ganesha and Lord Venkateshwara temples as well.
Tips for travellers-
1. Preferable to buy the 250/- or 500/- ticket for faster and longer Darshan
2. There is evening lighting. Preferable to go around 5pm.

Sri Puram know as a place of peace is a true spiritual oasis. Designed and envisioned by Sri Narayani Amma SriPuram is home to multiple beautiful temples. As you want the star path and listen to vedic chants you are transformed. Sri Puram is home to Ganesha, Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi Narayani. What a bessing to spend a day in this beautiful oasis.

4-5 KMs from Vellore, this is SriPuram Lakshmi Narayani Temple aka Golden Temple. As the name suggests the main temple is of gold however the main deity which is 70+ kg of solid gold is in another small temple which you visit when you exit from main temple. Entire campus is huge and built in star shape. You need to trace this entire star on foot to reach the main temple. Based on weekend or occasions expect heavy crowd here and to avoid long wait in queue buy 250Rs. special darshan tickets before you enter (just opoosite to parking there is a counter). After parking you need to deposit your phones and camera as they are strictly not allowed inside the campus. Deposit your shoes as well and enter the STAR. Entire pathway in star is very comfortable, you can walk easily and there is ample space for sitting, drinking water, washrooms are at regular distances. For specially ables there is a special entry where they can skip this entire path and enter directly. Main temple is built over a water body and if you have taken special darshan they allow you to sit for 5 minute in front of the main deity. Coming out of the main temple you get a small temple where 70KG solid gold idol is there which you can do abhishekam for 100Rs. (Gents need to go top less here so keep this in mind before paying). On the path way there are couple of temples like Ganesh temple and all which you can visit. There are many shops you can visit along the path. On exit there are food shops and a food court run by temple itself (closes at 3pm for lunch). Those like me who could not make it on time for the lunch, drive 5 km ahead and reach vellore and you can get whatever you want. Parking space in temple is not very huge, but I saw most folks coming in buses and all so car park was okiesh. Overall very peaceful and nice place. Worth one day long drive trip from Bangalore. Temple visit takes around 1 hour (depending on the crowd).

It is divine temple with 70 kg gold used . The campus is very big and you need to follow the path to complete the darshan. However, it is long queue before darshan to complete. You need to pay entry fees with different rates as per your choice.

A very beautiful temple made up of gold which is spread over 100 acres and a track where you need to walk for 1.5 hours. It is surrounded by jungle. Lakshmi Statue is made up of 70Kg gold. I am not sure why no one is talking about this temple?
Please note that mobile and camera are not allowed in this temple because of which we could not capture photos inside the premises.

I am 61 year old pesson . I am planning to visit Chennai with my wife. I don't have car. Please guide me how to plan my trip. I want to visit as many places in and around Chennai. Sripuram golden Narayani temple is around 10km from Coimbatore or 15km from Katpadi junction.
1- You can reach Katpadi railway station by train from Chennai. It takes around 2H 15m to reach Coimbatore.
From there please take a taxi or local bus to Sr1puram.
2- Alternatively take bus from Chennai to Sripuram temple direct.
It takes around 3H 15M.
3- Direct taxi is also available from Chennai to the temple. It takes around 2H 15M.
Choice is yours.
