Красивый природный парк. Горы и чистый воздух. Поднимаемся на подъемнике и гуляем по верху. Лес и отличная панорама города.

Lv15 per person round trip. Few walks at the top (if you’re not wearing flip flops). Relatively easy to get on and off, friendly staff who spoke good english. Small cafe at bottom station selling drinks and ice cream. Free parking at bottom station

The place is great, you have to get up and enjoy the incredible views that open to the mountains and the city. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the top. An incredible attraction.

An attraction that will take you to the Karandila area. And it's great for walks. Take a stroll through the magnificent coniferous forest and enjoy the scent.

It took us a while to find this but it was well worth the effort. The cost of 50 lev for a family of four (2 plus 2) bought a return journey - 20 minutes there and 20 back. The lift is old but well maintained and perfectly safe - staff are there to help you on and off. The scenery is spectacular on the ride and there are walks and hiking trails at the top but no cafe at the top (we didn’t though). There are no signposts on the way (maybe in Cyrillic) so we used google maps. Fantastic stop off on our journey to Plovdiv.

We chose the Blue Mountain trip and went on it 4 days ago. Our guides were Drako and Maria. Drake looked after the English speaking people (he is very funny!) and Maria the German speaking. Stop off at a Bulgarian village in the mountains for a look round and lunch. Great traditional food, and plenty of it (4 courses). Blue Mountain itself, wow the views are amazing and the chairlift ride is phenomenal, so peaceful as you float down the mountain on the old rickety (but allegedly very safe) seat, built by the Swiss apparently. Seriously I wouldn’t have got on it if I didn’t feel safe. It’s 10 lev each but you don’t pay this till your there in case you don’t want to go on it. On way back stop off at a town called Sliven. Watch out for the begging kids. They get quite cross if you don’t give in to them and I was very aware of one little girl getting rather close to my husbands short pockets where his wallet was, but we were told about this before we got off the bus.

Sliven e gelip buraya binmemek olmazdı. Güvenli görünmesede güzel bir tur oldu. Çift olarak adrenalin dolu anlar yaşadık.

We took the tour with Vangel Shimov tours. The reps Drako and Maria made our day. Very Well done. Dinner was fab and coach was luxury. The chair lift looks 100 years old but we were assured it was very well maintained. I'm still alive so it must be true. However on windy and rainy days it does not open. Well worth the day out. Might be a bit boring for kids however.

Ожидала экстрима от канатной дороги. Даже перед посадкой хотела сдать билет :) Но оказалось совсем не страшно - не высоко над землей. За пару дней до поездки Синие скалы каталась в Солнечном береге на карусели, которая примерно на высоте 5-ти этажного дома - там было страшнее :) Можно фотографировать, когда едешь на канатной дороги - но у меня фото получились не очень - мешала эта сама дорога - все эти железки.
Сиденья старые. Посадка на них довольно безопасна...А вот окончание поездки не понравилось - пришлось с этих сидений прыгать - что небезопасно для людей, если есть проблемы с коленями, например.
p.s. Очень удивило кафе, которое находится рядом с окончанием дороги - попросила кофе, спросили: "большой или маленький?", а там были 2 вида стаканов - большой (примерно 200 мл) и маленький (примерно 100 мл). Так мне налили 10-ю часть маленького стакана, то есть примерно 10 мл!!! На вопрос, как так, сказали: "Так Вы же сами маленький просили". Стоил кофе больше лева: или 1,30 или 1,80 - точно не помню. То есть советую лучше брать чай, его наливают в стакан 200 мл :)

The descent in a chairlift cost 10 leva each. According to our excursion guide, it seemed that the Station workers had not expected such a large number to be taking to the chairlift at once and, suspending the service, seemed to be inspecting each as it arrived at the top. By the time they had completed their safety check of each chair and we had clambered onto ours, it was about an hour later and everyone had begun to feel restless. The view from the Chairlift Station itself was impressive at it overlooked the city of Sliven, the eighth largest city in Bulgaria, spread out below the mountains and also gave a view of the route of our descent. Once we had started down, my wife who had reservations relaxed and enjoyed with me what was a silent and rather beautiful and peaceful ride – albeit on what were admittedly very rickety seats - the mountains showing us why the range was nick-named ‘the Blue Mountains’. They are emblematic for the city of Sliven. This is what the rock, rising in the vicinity of the town, is called. The stones and the rocks are not blue at all but the mountains as seen from the chairlift do take on a bluish aspect. We also passed above a forest of trees, all but hiding a stream which followed us to the Station at the bottom. it was about a twenty minutes from top to bottom. If you choose not to use the chairlift, your coach or minibus will take you to the station at the bottom where you may have a long wait for those who did.

Is the chairlift open year round? I can't seem to find information. How much is it to ride?

Hi it was 10 levs each we went in June it was really good so I don't know if it is open all year round .

You need to quick to get on it the men put the bar across you and away you go about 20 mins half way down it was really high I couldn't look down at that point but apart from that it was great
