Lodwick Point at Mahabaleshwar provides a stunning view of the lush green valley. The approach path is a sort of trek (cemented staircase) for around one kilometer. Just before the Lodwick Point, the pathway bifurcates into two. One heading towards Lodwick Point while the other towards Elephant's Point, which is another good view point

You can avoid the Sunset point and come here to view sunset. The parking area is spacious and has few stalls for refreshments. Lorkwick point is 500 meters from parking and Elephant point is 300 meters ahead of Lordwick point. So both can be covered together. The way from parking to Lordwick point is good and surrounded by tress.

It is located about 5 km from bus stand. It is named after General Lodwick, who was the first British officer to climb the hill in 1824. His son erected a column of 25 feet in honor of his father.
It is about 500 meter walk from parking lot through forest on a smooth road. Further 200 meter ahead is Elephant Head point. It's better to go early in the morning to avoid crowd. Avoid during rains. As far as view is concerned , it's just too good from this point. A paradise for nature lovers.

The Lodwick Point isn't far from the main Mahabaleshwar market. We drove to the Point, parked our car & started walking to the actual point. This is about a KM long but easy walk through a forested trail.
Domeshwar was rechristened Sydney Point & further renamed Lodwick Point. General Lodwick was the first British officer to climb the hill in 1824.
The time of sunset made for some serious drama in the sky! The Lodwick Point afforded great views of the Western Ghats. But the heat was quite oppressive. Do keep in mind if going to Mahabaleshwar in April.

Lodwick point has a pole which was built here in the memory of British officer Lodwick who had climbed the mountain to reach this point. This view point provides a very nice view of the valleys. The different peaks in the Western Ghats can be seen from this place. Clean breeze from the forests in the mountain gives a soothing feeling.

To visit lodwick point you have to do some walking around 1 km but once you reach it is amazing to visit

This is very close to Mahabaleswar main market. The parking place a bit congested but can be managed. From the point the view of valley below and the other mountain ranges are amazing in the presence of cool breeze.

Among other points in Majabaleshwar Lodwich point is most beautiful place for amazing sunset view. But the way to this place is a little bit rough.

This point is in Mahableshwar. You can easily go there by car. There is a car parking. Do not take horse ride they will just fool u. It’s only 10 min walking

During a very short timely trip in Mahabaleshwar, we visited at the Lodwick Point for the sight seeing of the western ghats.
We drove up there from Panchgani. The 30 minutes drive to this point is amazing.
Before reaching to the Lodwick Point, there's a stretch of 10 minutes that needed to be trekked the hill sides and pathway is also very much safe and clear.
On reaching the top there's one Memorial constructed in the name Lodwick as the name given to this point too.
At the top there's whole beautiful covers of mountains of western ghats all around giving you wonderful and mesmerizing feeling of the view.
People were liking to have lots of selfies by standing over hardly 3 ft. parapet which I felt quite dangerous and an act of stupidity.
The green cover of trees over the ridge of the mountains makes it more adorable.
