Our day to see Mt. Fuji ended up being cloudy, and we didn't get to see the mountain. So, this boat ride was the highlight of our day. The ride lasts about 20 minutes and covers most of the lake. Souvenir photos are taken before you board and are sold for a reasonable price on your return.

The mt Fuji pleasure boat is a very nice way of going around trip on the kawaguchiko lake it is about 20 minutes ride.it is just opposite side of the Ropeway cable car.try to buy a combined ticket along with the 3 shuttle buses.best views are from the top deck.only problem was all announcements were in Japanese so foreign visitors could not understand anything of what was said.it would be nice if some commentary was in English..

Unfortunately, Mount Fuji was hidden by clouds.
90% of the passengers were foreign tourists (probably Chinese), happily wearing the Japanese-style costumes and goods that were placed on the ship and taking photos of each other, so the commotion there was more distracting than the scenery.
The boarding gate opened earlier than the time that I was told when purchasing my ticket, so when I arrived on time, there was a long line and it felt like people who had made it on time had missed out, which was disappointing.

河口湖駅から遊覧船乗り場まで徒歩15分ほど。
乗船時間20分。料金は1,000円。乗船場には「風林火山」の幟。和風の船体には割り菱(武田菱)が描かれている。武田軍に属していた水軍をモチーフにしているとのこと。航行ルートは湖の中央付近(鵜の島近く)でUターンして乗り場に戻って来る。客室内にはベンチシートがあるが、乗船時間は長くないのでデッキ上で富士山と湖の美しい景色を堪能するのがいいでしょう。

We just returned from our Mt Fuji day trip. We decided to concentrate only at Lake Kawaguchi. So we did the Ropeway and the Lake cruise. Cost is ¥1600 for adult and ¥800 for child. You can purchase individual tickets too. The cruise was a easy 25mins and offers great view of Mt Fuji. It was thoroughly enjoyable. However, the Ropeway is a must when visiting Kawaguchiko. For a short day trip from Tokyo, I highly recommend taking a bus from Tokyo station or Shinjuku, do the Ropeway and lake Cruise. Then return on the 3pm bus. You can stay longer if you like too.

Just a 20 minute tour - but beautiful views of Mt Fuji. Take the ride on the top deck for the best pictures. Also this boat ride can be combined with a ticket to the sky tram.

The boat ride is a round trip that takes 20 min. If not a cloudy day, you can see Mount Fuji from the boat for the whole ride. Do not fret if you are on the wrong side as the boat will turn around and the mountain will be on your side then.

You can see the best view of Fuji mountain from the boat on a clear day. The price is 500 yen, you can buy it from the machine. Staff is friendly

Hi. I'd like to know whether the Kawaguchi Pleasure Boat is same with Kawaguchi Excursion Ship ? If yes, how much it costs per person ? I've been to Kawaguchi before, but we were offered by speedboat which cost a lot, 6.000jpy only for 10 minutes going around.

We took the boat as part of a whole tour. But the boat ride itself wasn't that expensive. It wasn't a speed boat but more like a small ferry.

We booked thru TripAdvisor but due to bad weather the boat at Hakone was not available. Therefore the pleasure boat at lake Kawaguchi was free for us.
