I previously accidentally booked private lessons at this ski school for my young teenagers (12 and 14 years old). They received 3 x 2 hour lessons from ski instructor Mark (Dutch) who not only made them very enthusiastic but also learned a lot in a very friendly and pleasant way. This ski school employs many Dutch-speaking teachers. Definitely recommended. Next year we hope again at Markuur near Gouda. Then we are armed with jokes about Dutch people to counter his Belgian jokes 😀

Ich hatte einen privaten, zweistündigen Skiunterricht mit Frans, einem sehr freundlichen Skilehrer aus den Niederlanden gebucht.
Der Kurs hat mir viel Spaß gemacht und technisch enorm weitergebracht. Ein Lob auch insbesondere an den Skilehrer, der mir seine Skibrille lieh, weil ich meine vergessen hatte, und den Kurs aus Kulanz verlängert hatte, um eine Verspätung aufgrund von Anfahrtsproblemen aufzufangen.
Gerne wieder!

December 27th approx 14:00 we were standing behind the Panorama pull lift close to the Kristall Hütte.
A Hochzillertaler Ski School group with youngish kids came up with the pulllift.
The first kids stopped too close to the exit area.
The last kids were not able to exit the area anymore.
Two kids stopped right in the middle of the exit area - two more kids arrived and released the lift handle which just about missed the heads of the kids in the middle of the lift. All adults around were shocked at how close a bad accident had occurred.
Lift was stopped - the kids shoved out of the way.
I talked to the instructor to make him aware of the near accident he had missed: answer was: " I am not aware of any problems" (what?!? What type of answer is that?? Not his problem if the kids he is teaching do not know how to use a lift?)
The parents of these kids did not know how close they were to pick them up at the hospital.
Tip: other skiing schools make sure the kids know how to use a lift before dragging them up and if something happened they take it seriously and respond to it.
