It is a magical place, makes you wanna become a pirate and live secretly in that cove ;) You can drive to a very near parking lot and walk the last meters… more fun is hiking all the way from Tijarafe, not crowded and splendid views.

One of the best attractions I've seen in recent years. Together with the others on the island of La Palma, it creates a route worth the cost of the trip. spectacular

Small village in a large protected cave, some cave houses. Enough tourist season: lots of boats. Not great for swimming unlike playa de la Veta. Access car do it smoothly, at every turn, remember to honk and anticipate the crossing because outside the turns, the road is narrow.

The place is definitely worth seeing, but after reading the comments about the road, we decided to hire a taxi, which by the way was a great success, since the road is dangerous and especially if you find a car in front of you, With such a slope and how narrow it is, it is very difficult to maneuver.
We hired the taxi with Jessica since we saw very positive comments about her here and we recommend her 100%, a great professional who knows the road very well and is also a charming person.

Very adventurous drive on the narrow, single-lane serpentines to the parking lot above the sea. If you're good at driving backwards again and again to avoid it, then it's no problem ;-).
Short mini hike to the very beautiful and impressive cave. It definitely requires sturdy shoes.

A uniquely beautiful and breathtaking place. A must visit if you are in La Palma Island! Getting to the place is difficult and there are many turns and a big incline, you must have a car 🚙

SERIOUS CAUTION:
1. The road down to the caves is extremely steep, twisted and very narrow.
2. If you are very fit and you want to walk the 4.5 km do NOT go alone. On the way down there is a neglected house with several aggressive dogs outside. I had a narrow escape from the teeth of one of these dogs thanks to the protection of my rugsack. Myself and another family were stranded down there and we were unable to walk back up to the top due to the dogs until another car came to rescued us.

Spectacular place in every sense.
I recommend that if you are not very expert with the car, do not get out, you could have a really bad time. You can book a taxi.
There are 2 parking spaces, the first to see the landscape where you cannot see the town and the second to walk down. It is a slightly steep terrain, not recommended for people in poor shape.
On the way back it became dark and I recommend that you avoid these because the climb becomes more complicated.
It is a place that you cannot miss on La Palma.

Beautiful place that is essential to visit and if you can make it coincide with a sunset it would be perfect
My recommendation is to take a taxi if you don't want to have a bad time even if you are an expert in driving.

Sí, apto para un baño. Se entra en el agua por unos escalones naturales en la roca.
No hay nada de hostelería. Recomendable llevar comida o comer en los pueblos cercanos.
