Went with 5 friends for the 9am tour. It was far better than I expected. The tour guides were funny, kind, excited, and engaging. We learned a lot, especially about the important work they do there. I donated because of how strong the experience was. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Samui.

A wonderful experience, yes learning about the elephants and meeting them is Incredible, however knowing there are people who care so much for these animals goes even further.
Looking for a ethical experience with animals is always difficult and we were nervous incase we had booked a tour which felt unethical. This exceeded our expectations on all levels, if you are looking for the most ethical elephant experience then this is the place, the priority was the elephants not the people. Thank you for all the work you do caring for the elephants.

This is a brilliant half day experience with these majestic animals.
The whole trip is brilliant, from getting picked up at your hotel to making the elephants treats to feeding them to getting up close for some photographs.
The staff need some kind of reward for the way they look after them and you can see the dedication they have to the animals welfare in everything they do and say.
We finished with some Thai food for lunch which was really nice.
If in Koh Samui, please go!

Amazing excursion. Please don't go to any other Elephant Sanctuary except this eco one.
We had an absolutely phenomenal morning with the elephants learning about what makes them feel safe and happy. Feeding them and learning how to interact with them in a way that will not further harm them. They have all been rehabilitated from abusive environments.
We also learnt that swimming with elephants, riding them, washing them is highly stressful to them and can be dangerous to humans. Centres that offer this are not operating in the elephants interest.

Best experience so far on the island. The people are all super kind. You prepare food for the elephants together and feed and pet them. You learn where they come from and what their life was like before. Very beautiful animals

Sanctuary for retired elephants. Run by a private foundation and lots if young people who are very attentive.
Your ticket gets you to learn a lot about elephants and you will be part of the feeding routine:
Meal preparation and actually feeding them.
Do not expect a circus show - it is the opposite: retired work elephants are being taken care of.
Very professional: with your entry ticket you get free drinks and a meal as well. Very good, by the way.

We opted for the first one of the day and were picked up on time at our hotel 8.10am in a very comfortable air conditioned people carrier and taken to the sanctuary.
The experience was well planned and extremely informative from start to finish.
The welfare of the elephants is of paramount importance and everything they do is for the good of the elephants.
We help make up their food, feed them and we’re even lucky enough to see them bath and then give themselves a much needed mud bath.
All this was finished off with some tasty vegan dishes.
Well done to all the team at the sanctuary.

Why a great please to visit.
Learnt so much about the elephant and where they were rescued from.
Had a chance to feed all elephants, made their favourite treats, and watched them play with their water pool.
This is a three hour experience which allow you get to hands on with the elephants without overcrowding them.
If you are looking for a short tour/ experience of a life time, this is it.
The morning tour also provides you with snacks and lunch too.
If you are o. Koh Samui please check this place out, you will not regret it.

Incredible experience from beginning to end at Samui Elephant Sanctuary. I was conveniently picked up by the driver and safely brought to the location. Very educational as well during the whole tour thanks to the awesome staff. I have never been so physically close to an Elephant or emotionally ever until this experience I will never forget. Highly recommended!!!

Thanks for having me in this special Sanctuary.
Everything was great since the beginning til the end of the program. The staffs are very welcome. The program was very well run by professional staff, providing a specific information and entertaining at the same time. Most of all, it was a very great experience seeing how you treat them, take care of them, and love them. Highly recommend!! More than wroth it🩵💙

Hi, how much walking is involved as my partner can’t walk for more than 5mins without a break. She would love to feed the elephants. Would that be possible. She doesn’t mind missing the tour around the land.

hi - the first part of the visit is making the food and feeding the elephants from a platform, and then the second is walking around to visit them in their habitat - so they could skip that bit of the tour :-)

There seems to be the option of 2 sanctuaries on the island, one of which has recently opened. Is one better than the other or do both offer the same experience.

The new one is bigger than the old one but I think that the old one is better because the elephants are settled there for long time so they would be calmer and easier to get closer to them than the new one where I went.

Hi. I simply went to koh samui elephant sanctuary in Google, and the website popped up. It is totally worth the price but no baby elephants. This is more or less a retirement home for abused elephants. Excellent visit that comes with lots if interaction, educn and a vegetarian buffet. Your ticket price supports the expansion I have this amazing place.
