This area is stunning... there is a large reserve along the edge of the water and there is no way you could know that Axedale is hiding such a luscious secret unless you drive there to look.
The rivers edge is surreal with the colours reflecting off the surface. The gumtrees are stunning along here... but the sounds of nature that encompass you are worth taking time out to listen to. I would recommend stopping here for some time... if you bring a picnic, life would be perfect.

Amazing spot that is good for walk or to go fishing. Worth a visit while in town visiting tavern. Also check out the quirky platypus compass
