I was on a bus tour that stopped at Sete Cadades and visited this remarkable church. It is stunning in many ways beginning with its architecture on to its peaceful and lovely sanctuary that makes one want to sit and meditate or pray and then to its setting amidst trees and flowers and sculpture. It is truly a spiritual place. I wish I'd had more time for my visit.

Merita una visita questa chiesetta bianca in fondo al viale con ortensie, nel villaggio di Sete Citades ( zona ovest dell'isola di Sao miguel ) .
Noi dopo aver visitato il Miradouro da boca do inferno siamo arrivati qui.
Davanti alla chiesa è presente un bar dove abbiamo preso un caffè accompagnato da un dolcino tipico .

Beautiful little church in the village. This was a comfort stop for the group on tour of the Crater Lakes and vicinity. Beautiful walkway leading upto the entrance of the church with hydrangeas. Quaint inside. Many of the churches in the village were characteristic of the lava stone used to build on this Azore island.

This church is really lovely especially the path leading to it with the trees and Hydrangea. The church is not so big but nice. The interior is simple and bright. A nice stop in this quiet village.

This is a must see attraction while visiting the Azores. Grounds are very well maintained and inside of church is beautiful. This was one spot I definitely had on my must see list

A vista para a igreja, com um corredor no meio da natureza é fantástica, vale a pena apreciar. A própria igreja tem uma arquitetura bonita e fora do normal. Fica mesmo junto à estrada, pelo que é de fácil acesso.

While traveling with my wife we decided to have lunch near the church and then walked over to the scenic walkway in front. Managed to get a good photo with out people in it which is difficult. Definitely worth the time to visit!

This church is very easy to get to while you're driving through the small town of Sete Cidades. It's nice inside and the photos from the walkway are very unique. The stairs to climb up to the bell tower were open when we were there.
Definitely worth stopping by.
