Possible the most varied scenery we have ever ridden in. From river crossing to splashy sea canters to mountain to forest. The ride asks alot of the rider so confidence and saddle fitness are essential. The horses are very forward going and are confident in all situations. Accommodation is comfortable and clean with hearty portions of SA food.

This was my second visit & I did the mini beach trail with 2 friends.
I was reunited with a small Arab mare who is now 20 but you'd never guess.
Despite the wild & windy weather, the 3 long days in the saddle plus short rides on the arrival & departure days, were a lot of fun with plenty of trots & canters wherever the terrain allowed. The highlights were the ferry crossing and the beach gallop on pristine, firm sand at low tide. Tarika was like a bullet once we got the signal to go; I've never moved so fast! Recommended for experienced riders.
The accommodation & food are basic, but clean & the location of the trail hotel is stunning.

Doing a ride with Wild Coast Horse Riding Adventures is an unforgettable experience! We did the Morgan Bay afternoon ride and enjoyed the spectacular scenery of the Morgan Bay Cliffs and a canter on 'Golden Mile' beach in 2 hours. Our group of 5 were accompanied by 3 guides who treated even the less experienced riders in a very kind and professional manner to ensure that everyone felt confident and enjoyed the ride. All the horses in our group were very well behaved and obedient. Highly recommend booking an experience with them - my experience was exceptional!

We spent a few days riding along this spectacular coast and would gladly have stayed longer. Amazing canters along glorious sandy beaches and long stretches of grass inland. Warm hospitality, excellent guides and incredible horses. A ferry ride with the horses across the estuary was the cherry on the cake for this exceptional riding holiday.

I just did the 6-day Wild Coast Trail and I absolutely loved it. The scenery and the views are breathtaking, our guide Tertia was fun and knowledgeable and my horse Lizzie was an absolute star; calm, relaxed and incredibly surefooted even over the most difficult terrain. Every day on the trail was different, we rode along beaches, inland over hills, through gorges and through rivers. The riding was quite intense with a combination of fast rides and long rides so for this trail you need sufficient horse riding experience. They do take beginners on shorter rides along the beach as well though.

Fabulous riding along the beach with amazing scenery. A week long ride immerses you in the real South Africa from the back of a horse. Galloping along the beach and crossing the rivers are challenges you will remember. The horses are very well schooled and the saddles and tack are high quality. You will stay in typical South African hotels, where time has stood still but nonetheless offer a high standard of cleanliness. Enjoy a pub stop along the way and watch the wales breaching.

A very worthwhile and fun experience. Rolling hills and picturesque beach riding. These horses can go over rocky areas with ease. Loved the beach canter. Jess was a superb guide, very encouraging and very competent horse woman!

Randonnée galopante sur les plages d'Afrique du Sud mais pas que ! Nous avons également chevauché à l'intérieur des terres et au travers des villages. Les guides sont très sympathiques et très professionnels. Les chevaux très fiables et agréables à monter. Une très belle randonnée où l'on découvre une facette différente de l'Afrique du Sud

I did a 2 day ride with lead rider Michelle, and boy what a ride. This is some of the best riding in the world. Day 1 to magnificent Morgans Bay and it’s surrounds. Day 2 across the Kei River into the endless tribal lands. Beach after deserted beach. Then lunch at a wonderful waterfall surrounded by nature. Michelle is highly knowledgeable about native plants and animals. This is more than just an incredible horse ride. You get an education and insight to this unique part of the world. If you are equine inclined, you MUST put this on your bucket list..
