This is a beautiful escape and experience I did not mind supporting. The animals were free roaming but tame and it was refreshing to not see them caged( other than the birds and snakes ofc). If you are a lover of animals definitely add this to your trip.

The cost also covers a visit to Grenade Hall and signal Hill which is on the same compound. There is also a trail which leads to a very cool cave. Add this to your list now :)

This attraction is a large pen stuffed with tortoises, birds and some very sorry looking deer. The whole place smelt of rooting food and poop, all trees and plants had been sucked of life leaving a bleak environment. The birds are a sad sight, balding from the conditions - the deer look under constant stress with nowhere to go - tortoises all over the place bred with no thought.

As for the caged area.. a prison for reptiles, birds and anything else they could find. Empty cages, no stimulus, no environment.. just mess.

Maybe this would have been ok 50 years ago? Zoos in general are questionable in this day and age but this was beyond acceptable. A very sad place.

A very sad place.

The moneys are great as they are free and wild.. but they are outside the prison gates so no need to pay. Just go to the car park and you’ll see them.

We last visited in 2019 and expressed concern over the bird and reptile enclosures, they were dirty, smelly and too small. Nothing has changed, in fact it has detoriated further, this "attraction " must close. There are several areas of stagnant water ,the only animals that appear healthy are the monkeys and the tortoise. This is disgraceful place and no government should be prepared to fund it in its present state

We arrived just after feeding time, and enjoyed seeing lots of monkeys, tortoises, deer and a variety of birds helping themselves to the food. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Worth a visit to see monkey feeding and to walk around the grounds. I am sympathetic to those that say animal care/variety could be enhanced but kids enjoyed themselves and that's half the battle! Oddly, the lady taking into the park would only accept cash - no credit cards. That was a bit odd.

This was our second trip to this reserve. Had to see it again as it is such an up close experience with the monkeys and turtles. Must go to see the 2:00 feeding an incredible experience!

We came on a tour and had just an hour here, but could easily have spent longer - if one were to sit and wait quietly in the forest, one would very likely see a great deal more than we did - which in itself was a great deal! There are tortoises everywhere (surprisingly fast), deer of various kinds, many chickens and junglefowl, but the highlight are the green-tailed monkeys - they come in from the nearby forests in huge numbers, especially at feeding time (you should arrange your visit to coincide!), and are quite wonderful.

Needs a lot of tender loving care . visited many years ago and it has gone down hill. mainly tortoises and chickens the birds aviary needs taking down and birds rehoused somewhere decent. The brick path very difficult to walk on. It needs a big injection of money and dedication to make it a worthwhile attraction

Good and poor ; great to see monkeys, tortoises and deer; exotic bird enclosures are a disgrace and should be avoided and birds relocated to more appropriate homes!
