This is a nice place for a lunch stop, bring you're own though.
We were charged $6 Bbds just to bring and park the car, which I think is steep.
There's nothing there other than the shell of the old house, large grass and tree area with trestle tables, on the other side of the ruin is a viewing area that looks out and down on the island and sea.
Having said that, it is a nice peaceful area to rest a while.
There were working toilets if needed.

Not sure how this got so many stars.
1) The burned out ruins of the mansion are behind a fence, marked not safe, so there is no way to actually explore them.
2) There is a view, but you can get the exact same view up on the hill behind St. James distillery for free.
It does have a bathroom, so I guess if you gotta go, it's a good option.

We went here one evening on the way back from Saint Andrew and there are some lovely views from the top of the hill, near the bandstand. There is a small entry fee for cars but if you take the bus then you'll only pay the bus fare. There's not that much to see here so I wouldn't recommend making a special journey - perhaps combine it with a visit to the Barbados Wildlife Reserve over the road.
A saw a couple of green monkeys while we were here also.
Reggae on the Hill is being held here at the end of April and it looks like a good place to have a party!

Farley Hill, being part of the Barbados national park system, does charge a small admittance fee. It's a shame that the mansion burned down but now it's a lovely spot for a picnic. You have your choice of sitting in the sun and looking at the front of the ruins of Farley Hill or a shady spot behind the old mansion. The hill there provides views of the east coast.

The actual park is beautiful and there are some long interesting walks. However, the mansion has been left to ruin after a fire 50 years ago. Natural bushes and trees are now growing in the house which is occupied by a large group of cats. This could be restored to its former glory if a bit of money was made available - perhaps a café or even a restaurant could be built in this picturesque beauty spot - or educational visits for the school children.

A beautiful house with extensive parkland surrounding. The problem is according to our guide the house was destroyed by fire about fifty years ago. Now back.ing derelict. Needs some money spent on restoration.

Enjoyed our visit to this park. Views amazing. Walk around and check out the ruins and you may even get a chance to see some monkeys.

Utsiktspunkt i en fin grönska att promenera runt i. För barn finns möjligheter till lekpark. Känns som platsen tidigare haft fler faciliteter som idag är nerlagda.

This park was one stop on a tour that we took (Barbados Highlights). The tour guide, Shara W, was friendly, informative, pleasant...and a great 'teacher' of some very interesting history about Barbados and Farley Hill Park.
The mansion was gutted from fire in 1965 and the area was designated a park in 1966 by The Queen.
The movie 'Island in The Sun' with Harry Belafonte was filmed there.
The shell of the mansion has been 'claimed' by Mother Nature...filled with trees and brush. There are cats that live there...a custodial worker at the park said there are 14 cats on the grounds.
Even though the mansion was gutted by fire...the grounds are still beautiful, and the entire park is appealing to see

The park itself is rather small, but the trees are truly imposing. A large car park and a kids' recreation ground make it popular with families. There is an ancient mansion that was rebuilt to shoot a film, but unfortunately burned down subsequently. Its ruins add to the atmosphere.
