Had the pleasure to take private snowboard lessons with Jérome (J.J) over 3 days and the experience was amazing! Jérome was kind and observant in understanding my areas for improvement to help me advance very quickly. He was very patient and instructions were clear as we took each lesson step by step. I appreciated his routine warm-up in the lessons to get ready for the run. Highly recommend him to anyone trying to improve at any level. His positive attitude certainly helped me build more confidence and we even covered some fun tricks after improving each day. I will certainly rebook with him if I return to La Tzoumas.

I went to La Tzoumaz 13th-20th January 2024 and had booked three group ski lessons 15th-17th Jan as a beginner package. This cost 212.50 CHF.
There was only myself and one other person who booked onto the group beginner session. On the second day of my lesson the second person was moved up a group to the intermediate level. I was left by myself with my instructor. At the end of the session the instructor informed me that her manager wanted me to pay an extra 100 CHF for the final lesson. This is because I was the only one booked onto the lesson and they viewed that as a private lesson when I had paid and booked for beginner group lessons. It was not my fault that no one else had booked onto the session. What they should have done is cancelled the lessons if they did not have enough clients.
I turned up to my booked group beginner lesson on the final day. My instructor did not turn up. I was told that I was put with the intermediate group. I had never skied before and did not feel confident in going on the red slopes straight away. I refused to be moved up a level when I had paid for beginner lessons. The instructor and group carried on without me. That day the weather was very bad. My friend who was in the intermediate group said the instructor advised it was not a day for beginners to be learning. So I was glad I refused to join the group and put myself at risk.
I went to the ski school office. Gabriel the man at the desk was very hostile, disrespectful, rude and patronising. I asked where my instructor was and I was told that my lesson had been cancelled as I had not paid an extra 100 CHF to compensate for no one else being booked onto the lesson. After a very heated discussion with Gabriel shouting at me I asked for my third lesson to be refunded. I was told this was not an option. As a customer I was treated disrespectfully, spoken over and shouted at. The conversation broke down and could not continue.
I emailed a letter of complaint to the manager Kevin. I was told it was my fault and he was not getting into a debate. I was told I was in the wrong. My lesson that I had paid for was cancelled and I did not get a refund.
If you are going to book onto group sessions be careful as if there are not enough clients to fill the lessons they will ask you to compensate for others not turning up and pay extra CHF. Or they will force you into the higher group level to make up the numbers

Worst experience ever. Although I have been working in the hospitality industry for many years in different countries, I never seen such a terrible service. While the teachers are nice, the two managers are very arrogant / rude and clearly have no idea on how to conduct business nor deliver the service they offer.
If you go there, you can definitely expect to:
- be more per group than what is mentioned in your confirmation (my son was in a group of 8-9 kids, while it clearly says group of 6 when registering/paying)
- not to be in the level you chose if it is convenient for them and allow them to save a few bucks...so be prepared to waste your time if they put you in a lower level than you should be.
- be in a multi-lingual group and if 8 out of 9 participants speaks German and you speak English, then mostly you won't have anything explained in English...but as the Manager said "selecting the ski course language on their website is only for them to know which language you speak" (speechless).
If not enough, be prepared to be talked rudely (borderline insulting) if you dare questioning the above issues...which should actually be basic fulfilment of the contracted service.
If you go there, you can definitely expect to:

Unfortunately I was not able to experience the ski lessons I booked as quarantine rules changed and my ski holiday was cancelled. I was not given a refund. The rules changed back to no quarantine in Switzerland (which is why they wont give me a refund) but this happened after my family had cancelled flights and accommodation. Be careful booking with this company in these covid times.

Nos deux fils (3 et 6 ans) ont pu profité d’une vraie école de ski familiale et conviviale! Ils mettent tout en œuvre pour que nos têtes blondes puissent profiter au maximum malgré la période compliquée que nous traversons. Les moniteurs sont adorables et tiennent réellement compte des capacités et « compétences » des enfants!
Les enfants ont adoré, on signe à deux mains pour l’année prochaine!

Our daughter really enjoyed her second year of ski school at Tzoum 'Evasion. The teachers are very friendly and accommodating and the kids really take to them.
Most languages are covered and they offert flexibility with lunch hour. The only criticism I would have is that the kids have lunch with the teachers in a rather formal way. In other words the teachers are having lunch and the kids can join, rather than the lunch being all about the kids while the teachers grab a bite to eat.
Other than that the whole experience was an all round success.

Super privé les van 3 uur gehad bij Tzoum’Evasion. Veel nuttige dingen geleerd, bedankt Bob! Ik raad deze skischool daarom zeker aan!

We had a wonderful ski vacation with 3 private lessons from Bob. We made lots of progress. He gives really good instructions, he gives you confidence, he is sometimes severe but with results, we learned a lot. We will come back next year to learn more from him! Thanks man!

I had the pleasure of receiving ski lessons from Bob, Dutch ski instructor. And ... that went well! It was the first time that I was on skis and Bob's teaching immediately gave me a lot of confidence! His calm, direct (and sometimes strict 🙂) instructions had results: after two mornings I made two blue runs. That would never have happened without Bob! Bob, thanks and we hope to meet you again next year!

Zelf ben ik een nog niet zo ervaren skiër en had Bob als skileraar. In 4 dagen tijd heb ik zeer veel bijgeleerd! Leraar Bob was heel geduldig en gaf veel tips om het skiën beter onder de knie te krijgen. Hij lette ook op wat ik fout deed en gaf aan hoe ik mijn techniek kon verbeteren. Stapje voor stapje leerde hij nieuwe technieken aan. We hebben kwaliteitsvolle lessen gekregen via deze ski school!
