Just text Anke from ecotrails when the tides are right again and start paddling! amazing trip - great views and nearly alone in the water for hours - just interrupted by some carps jumping out of the water or some sheeps trying to get a drink. you paddle up at high tide and go down again with the tides leaving the river again. can fully recommend this trip!

We went on our conoeing trip from Odemira along a beautiful river full of wild life and peace in mid April. It was a lovely experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in nature and water. Anke who lent us the canoes couldn't have been kinder. She was wonderful at explaining all the best parts of the river and all the animals to look out for. She provided us with maps and told us to take as long as we wanted. We had kids aged 2, 5 and 8 so we took it slow and they all loved it. Thank you Anke for a fantastic experience. We will be back

Het is de tweede maal dat ik deze kanotocht mag maken. Eenmaal vanuit Odemira en nu onlangs vanuit Mille Fontes. Het is een bijzonder mooie en aangename tocht. De tocht die +/- 3u duurt is helemaal niet vermoeiend omdat je met de stroom meevaart. ar zijn. En als de wind gunstig is profiteer je ook daar nog van. Zelf ben ik 68 jaar en heb de tocht gedaan met drie van mijn kleinzonen die 11, 13 en 14 jaar.
Het landschap zo traag zien voorbijglijden vanop het water is een unieke ervaring die ik iedereen kan aanbevelen. Anke is een zeer attente dame die er voor zorgt dat deze veilig en zonder problemen verloopt. Bedankt Anke !

Wir können eine Kanu- Tour mit Ecotrails auf dem Rio Mira sehr empfehlen! Es ist traumhaft verwunschen und man lernt die Region nochmal ganz anders kennen. Die Kommunikation war unkompliziert, der Treffpunkt leicht zu finden und das Material top in Schuss. Wir bekamen eine Karte mit, sowie eine mündliche Wegbeschreibung zu den Badestellen/Rastplätzen und den Tidenverhältnissen und hatten dank Anke und Bruno eine super Zeit:)

The experience was incredible. We really really enjoyed it. Not only was it very beautiful and peaceful going upstream the river, it was not incredibly demanding physically. We even took the time to park the canoe under a willow tree and have a little picnic.

Hi Taltalon,
yes, the tour from Odemira upstream and back with the tides is appropriate even for young kids, there's a lot for them to do - and to see!
The children under 5 years don't pay, but I have life jackets for everyone. The river is calm and it is quite easy to get ashore.
If you have any experience in canoeing I think you might also take a baby, I will ask you to sign that you`re going on your own risk.
In the canadian canoes you have a lot of space, so you will all fit in the same boat and the kids can help with their adjusted paddles.
