The Ottoman baths closed in the 1960s. But with the support of the European Union, they were renovated.
There are volunteers who will show you around and provide passionate explanations (in English). This will take you to the roof with the domes of the bathhouse, from where you have a very beautiful view of Molyvos. Admission is free. Anyone who wants can make a contribution. There is a book in which you can write down your findings.

What a fantastic, historical place to visit. The baths have been lovingly restored and are very important to the area. Rob and Carol were our guides, were very informative and are very passionate about them. It's free to enter, however a donation to keep the upkeep is most welcome. They are a "must see " historical attraction. I am glad that we visited. Thanks to Rob and Carol for all their hard work.

Literally a hidden treasure! Very well hidden indeed (opposite the post office is the best piece of advice I can give). If you persevere however, it will more than compensate.
Outstanding building. Full of history. Rob and Carol, the volunteers keeping the place open, are so passionate about it, their passion easily seeps to you.
A must see if you visit Molivos/ Mithymna. Enchanted.

We stumbled across the Ottoman Baths on a red hot day in the middle of August. We were wandering the maize of beautiful cobbled alleyways on the way from the harbor to the castle. On arrival we were greeted by a lady who was informative and friendly , told us all about the history of the place and gave us a short guided tour. It’s been renovated and it’s also lovely and cool. It’s well worth a wander and the view from the rooftop was very impressive. The people running the place do it on a voluntary basis ( I think) so a few euro in the tip box is appreciated. Recommend a visit if your in Molyvos

Well worth a visit. Volunteers talk passionately about the bathhouse and its history. No entrance fee, but a donation is very welcome

The Ottoman baths are an amazing historical place to visit. They are to be found in Molyvos as you ascend the covered cobbled road to the agora ( shops ) It a beautiful place to see, and steeped in history , we were shown around by a lovely lady who explained everything in great detail showing us everything that was found in the ruins and restored We were also taken onto the roof to see the restored dome. Amazing to see, thankyou for showing us around , we definitely recommend it’s a delight to see.

Hidden in the alleys, in the center of the old market, this small hammam is worth your visit. The work of highlighting the monument was done with knowledge and elegance, while the (volunteer) staff takes care of the tour. Also visit the roof to see the exterior of the domes.

While on my holidays on the greek island of Lesvos i Vista the ottoman baths Molyvos. When i arrived i was greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff (VOLUNTEER). Who gave me a tour of the ottoman baths in great detail also my tour guide was so helpful and very knowledgeable about the places.It was so interesting to see the baths restored to it former glory.Great place to visit and full off history and so much more. i would like to thank all the volunteers and staff for all there hard work in bringing the history alive. I would highly recommend a visit (5 stars).
