Lots of cats and dogs so poo on the beach . Water clean and very shallow

De eerste dagen verbleef ik op het strand bij de restaurants. Het zand is hier donker, het stukje strand smal en er lopen honden en katten. Bij beachbar Element is het strand breder en schoner.
Het strand aan de andere kant van de haven, bij Paradise restaurant ook breed en schoon. Hier liggen veel mensen topless mocht je dit missen tegenwoordig.
De zee/ baai is heerlijk, helder water en heerlijk temperatuurtje. Ja, er groeit erg veel wier/ zeegras, maar dit hoort hier gewoon, is niks vies of vervelends aan. Draag wel surfschoentjes, er zitten zee-egels.

Den må se vacker ut men sanden är mörk och hundar o katter gör sina behov där. Det ör fullt av stora krabbor och eremitkräftor och massa högt gräs. Jag skulle aldrig bada där.

Positivt; vackra omgivningar, 800 m lång strand, ingen trängsel, gratis solstolar på flera platser, även i byn om du äter på Sampo, långgrunt och inga strömmar, perfekt för barn, varmaste vattnet på Lesbos. Negativt; frånsett några mindre områden, tar man inte hand om stranden, vilket på sina ställen resulterar i ganska mycket skräp. Tips: bästa området av stranden är om man går 300-400 m väster ut från Skala Kallonis på strandvägen tills man kommer till Hotell Kaloni Bay. Stranden där är välskött och utsikten vacker.

Ένα γραφικό λιμανάκι με πολλά καφέ και ταβερνάκια . Τα ψαροκάικα , οι γλάροι , οι φιλόξενοι καταστηματάρχες συνθέτουν ένα όμορφο περιβάλλον που σε προσελκύει . Το αποκορύφωμα στη παραλία είδαμε και φλαμίνγκο .♥️♥️♥️ Στα μείον η γεμάτη φύκια παραλία .😞😞😞😞

Omdat het meer een zee-engte is, met een stuk verderop een kleine verbinding met open zee, is er weinig golfslag, en loopt de bodem erg langzaam af. Op het strand hebben een aantal restaurantjes bedden en parasols, welke je tegen consumptie van een drankje of hapje eten, verder gratis kan gebruiken. Ook zijn er een paar kleedhokjes en douches.

Gastvrij ontvangen worden door Saskia, Jan of Rosa. Heerlijke koffie en wijnen en cocktails. Ook de lunch is daar niet te versmaden!

Η χειρότερη παραλία που έχω δει. Συχαίνεσαι να βουτήξεις.Ο βυθός έχει κάτι φύκια που κάνουν την άμμο να δίνει την αίσθηση ότι πατάς γλίτσα.Εχει μια άθλια μυρωδιά όταν πλησιάζεις γτ έχει και έξω φύκια. Η ψηλή πετρούλα ειναι σαν χώμα.ΜΗΝ ΚΆΝΕΤΕ ΤΟΝ ΚΌΠΟ ΝΑ ΠΑΤΕ.Μονο αν θέλετε να πάτε στα μαγαζάκια για φαγητό

Cool waters used mostly by the locals of Skala Kalloni. Has nice tavernas and eating places around it and all within walking distance

We have read some bad reviews about the beach...that it is dirty with cigarette butts and dogs and cats fouling the beach...is this true.....does the Kalloni Bay Hotel keep it's section of the beach clean ?

We had heard the same things about the beach but found it to be quite clean. No cigarette butts or animal poo. That was October 2015. Lovely resort as long as you don't want anything more than quiet friendly and unspoilt which we don't!

Hello Kalloni Bay lovers,
Me and my fiancee are spending 2 weeks in Malemi hotel, stsrting July 24th. Since I have been reading the reviews of the beach there in skala kallonis, however, we are definitely not a pool-at-the-seaside users, we would really appreciate if you could share a few pieces of advice where to go to find any good beaches nearby... The first week we'll be mainly chillin, but the second, we are also going to explore the rest of the island... So, any suggestions for the kalloni bay beaches that can be accesse on foot or by bike, besides the main beach, that is supposed to be dirty? Is it really in that bad state?!

The beach is not really dirty, the sand is a greyish colour so not so attractive, but the water is really clear. The Hotel Malemi has an area on the beach at the end of the road from the hotel with sun beds. There was very little rubbish on the beach. We are not really beach people so did not spend any time on that beach or any others, other than walking down the beach to the town. The hotel is really lovely and George and Effie are very welcoming. The facilities at the hotel are good with a nice pool and patio area. Sorry I could not be much help on the beach question.
