I had the pleasure of taking a
American McDonald family from Glasgow here, the weather could have been kinder, but with sentiments high, it was great to see my customers revelling in the ‘feeling of coming home’.
The 3 miles of single track road is less bumpy than previously reviews have said, at least 2 miles have been recently resurfaced with fresh tarmac

Visiting Castle Tioram by default - a planned walking day had been aborted due to weather - we decided to take the car and tour in the dry! Choosing Castle Tioram on the recommendation of friends, we were not disappointed. The drive from Shiel Bridge was along a narrow, bumpy single track road, perhaps not advisable for those who are unsure about backing! Persistence paid off however, and we arrived at a good sized free car park, from which the Castle was a short 5/10 minute walk across a causeway. Views on the approach were fabulous, and, in the misty rain, moody and mysterious. The causeway may be covered on high tides, but on our visit was very easy to cross. A slightly slippery footpath through wet bracken took us to the base of the castle, probably not good for those with limited mobility. The castle is locked and not open to the public, and there are some steep drops off the rock on which it stands, so keep children and dogs under control. It was well worth the visit, situated as it is in such a commanding position, and highly recommended. Even if you are of limited mobility, the journey is still well worth making ,as the views from by the car park and on the causeway are all that you really need.

A ruined castle at the end of a 3 mile bumpy single track road. Then a walk across the beach with lots of tidal pools. It’s a beautiful spot and well worth visiting. We didn’t climb up close to the castle but it is impressive.

Stunning castle in a wild yet beautiful setting! A must visit!
The castle is in amazing condition given its history and the short walk across the sands is well worth it

An absolutely beautiful place to spend a few hours. Breathtaking scenery all around and the highlight is the castle on its own little island .

What a lovely remote spot. Very peaceful. A short walk from the small carpark and you’re transported to a much earlier century. We spent about 40mins here, sat on the small beach and admiring the scenery.

This place is a total gem. Nothing here but peace and beauty. We spent a week touring the area and seeing many wonderful sights but if you are anywhere near Fort William or Ardnamurchan Peninsula then this tops everything

This is one of my favourite spots on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. The castle itself it quite small and dates back to the 12-13th century and was the seat of the Clanranald branch of Clan Donald.Great for sunset castle photos. Except at high tide it is possible to walk over and around but not inside the castle. There is a car park at the end of the Dorlin Road .Heading north on the A861 out of Acharacle the road is on the left just after crossing Shiel Bridge and before the road veers to the right up towards Mingarry Park. This is a bumpy narrow single track road and I would encourage those in large vans not to venture down here unless you are able to reverse around bends into small passing places. This is a great and popular picnic spot. There are no amenities. There is a linear walk around the shoreline of Loch Moidart called the Silver Walk which ends here from the Ardmolich car park on Drynie Hill.

Car park just 5mins walk up the path/beach to cross over. Children loved it. Cut off at very high tide it seems, so can access most of the time.

Un peu à l'écart, dans une partie peu visitée, le chateau et sa "plage" nous attendent. La plage a découvert offre une vue infinie avec de superbes reflets avec le soleil.
