detour on the road to Dijon; small village that offers a beautiful panorama of the surroundings. pretty houses line the streets and the church is worth a visit

After visiting the charming medieval village of Yvoire near Geneva, this medieval site was a bit disappointing. Upon the entry, visitors can pay extra to visit the Chateau. We elected to walk around the grounds.
There aren't many structures. The restored ones usually housed a souvenoir shop. The simple church was somewhat interesting. Otherwise, there's not much to do.

A totally sublime village in its own right, a brilliant castle visit with loan of disguises during the visit for everyone, men, women, children, and a puzzle game with the use of objects, truly an address to remember

Beautiful visit despite a violent wind which is strongly felt on the rocky spur where the medieval village and its castle are located. The tour with the audio guide is very interesting, informative and allows you to understand the history of the place.

Brancion Castle is one of the must-see places to visit in the Mâcon region. Its ideal location in the middle of nature a true haven of peace in addition to being a true architectural gem. The guided tour of the castle, lasting around an hour and a half, is very interesting, and children - adolescents find it easy, because the explanations given are not too long or too complicated. However, it is to be deplored a slight lack of enthusiasm on the part of the guide and the lack of a few anecdotes to punctuate the visit. Nevertheless, it is a great visit to make!

Nice little visit to do, the castle has charm and a puzzle trail is offered for children.
The medieval village is also worth a detour even if there is not much open in low season.

Definitely worth a visit as the views from the Castle and just outside the Church from the 1200's are breath-taking. The Castle/Chateau itself, the small town, and the Church with the tomb of a Crusader from 1250 and views are individually worth the trip. A step back in time to the medieval ages ... highly recommend!!

Small, beautiful, quiet medieval village. Very nice visit, several hiking departures. An information office at the entrance to the village, catering on site. Very nice discovery.
