We are CS Lewis Narnia fans so we loved this trail with all the figures representing the Narnia stories. Some might say this is more for children, but we as adults, loved it. We did not have time to take the long trail to the Cloughmon Stone, so we drove there instead. We also stopped at the little cafe and enjoyed coffee and a little breakfast.

Visited recently on a lovely sunny day.
As you enter the park there is a left turn into the free lower carpark, but you will have to walk uphill to most things. The cost to go into the main carpark is £5 for the day. Then you can park by the facilities and access the road to the upper carpark for the Cloughmore trail.
We started with the Narnia walk. It is enjoyable, especially for children but there is scope to expand and develop it further to make it fantastic.
We also walked from the upper carpark to the Cloughmore stone. The path starts at the opposite end of the carpark to where you arrive, which is not immediately obvious. It is quite a hard uphill walk unless you are very fit but worth it for the stunning views over Carlingford Lough. There are a few places to rest along the way.
The cafe was the most disappointing thing about our visit. Coffee was fine although we were a bit surprised when we sat on the terrace and realised we were directly outside the open toilet window with sound effects! Lunch was really awful but I will review that separately. If we visit again we will take a picnic.

Large park with various footpaths up to Clough Stone and across to Kodak Corner. Fantastic views and lovely woodland trails and streams.

Amazing scenery. Simply amazing. Great for dogs as there is space for them to run and get off the lead. Lovely café with warming drinks like cocoa and coffee. Great for camping with good facilities and pitches. Great place to go.

On arrival there is an on site cafe and it seemed clean and tidy. I would say that a down side to this site is that the pitches are really uneven like to the point caravans were actually on wood. I know it is into a hill and there's probably very little they can do about it but I would definitely take this into account when booking. The Narnia walk was beautiful and would be great for kids and the walks around the forest were super. It was the worst weather when we were there but we walked through the forest and it was absolutely fine. We have only just started camping so this is only our 4th time to compare to elsewhere but id say the toilets were just ok. All in all good wee place with great walks.

A pleasant forest drive up to the top car park to see the big stone.
Plenty of parking and a good number of people about for a damp Sunday morning. The walk is signposted. I have a reluctant walker of a child but the walk wasn't too far or too steep. Only modest fitness required.
The stone is impressive and the views over the mountains and Carlingford Lough are spectacular.

One of the most beautiful & charming forestry area in Ireland! It is a literal fairy forest with it`s magical atmosphere. Situated near to a amiable little river, the Fairy Glen, at the feet of the famous and now UNESCO Heritage site, the Mourne Mountains and right beside the sea, the Carlingford Lough. It is absolutely wonderful area which offers so much, activities such as hiking, camping, walking, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, picnic, mountain biking - now there are new, popular Downhill mountain biking trails as well. The town, Rostrevor lays at the center of this meeting point of the mountains, forest and sea. The settlement is quite & tranquil with plenty of quality restaurant and pubs.
Highly recommended destination if you visit Northern Ireland.

Narnia without marauding wolves and a wicked ice Queen. A Magical place with Spectacular Views over Carlingford Lough toward the Cooley mountains.
A pair of binoculars a must.
Sought refreshment in Rostrevor in the Kilbroney Inn.

Beautiful place to spend a day there. Here quiet many trails to walk, also the place is great for hiking lovers. On the top of the hill opens nice views. Highly recommend to visit the forest park

Being C. S. Lewis aficionados, we loved Kilbroney Park. We were appreciative of the efforts to recreate a sense of "Narnia" for kids, complete with animal statues, a kid-sized White Witch's Castle, and of course, Aslan the Lion, all on a short trail near the carpark. It didn't exactly work for us--we more greatly appreciated the biking/hiking trail up to where you can overlook Carlingford Lough, a view which Lewis himself said was a major inspiration for the Chronicles of Narnia--but it was all good, and we were enamored. The "Wardrobe Door" with a believable facsimile of a gas lamp inside the forest near the door were a charming touch.
If you or your children are Lewis/Narnia fans, this is a "must" stop on a trip to Northern Ireland. Wouldn't have missed it. We only wish we'd had time to visit the pretty-looking little village of Rostrevor.

As long as Oran has bigger wheels and ground is dry should be fine. Otherwise use a baby sling.
