The cottage was absolutely perfect, it was spotlessly clean and well equiped and in a great location for a quiet few days celebrating our honeymoon. We were greeted on our first day by Allen and Jackie who were charming and most helpful giving us great advice for our trips out. The local pub The Crown Inn only a minutes walk away, had some great history and we were really made to feel welcome by the staff and regulars. The food and local ales were top class, we really enjoyed the whitebait and steaks and wanted to go back for more. Overall the cottage and surroundings were wonderful and the final surprise was seeing wild deer at the bottom of the garden on our last morning. We would definitely love to stay at the cottage again and can't praise it enough, a little cornish gem.

We have just spent a week in this lovely cottage, very clean and we'll kept. Eric the owner and Jackie the housekeeper are very friendly. A cream tea was waiting for us when we arrived which is very thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We love our visits to Cornwall and what a better way to spend it by staying in The Blacksmith's Shop! Perfectly positioned about an hour away from Padstow!! A warm welcome awaited us - a traditional cream tea! mmm - a nice surprise when you're not expecting it. Clean, tidy and comfortable with all the equipment you needed.
A short walk through the graveyard takes you to the excellent local pub! I have never been in a pub with such low ceilings so beware if you are tall! Ouch!
Looking forward to returning here in the near future.
