Located not far from Warnambool this place is well worth a visit as the collection of vintage motorcycles is very good to see. Entry is free and you can spend as long as you want there and take as many photo's as you like

Worth driving all the way to just outside Warrnambool Vic to view this collection.
It is about two hours from Geelong.

If you're a classic motorcycle enthusiast then this place is a must. It's only about 10 minutes drive from Warrnambool - it really should be included in the 'things to do in Warrnambool' section.
The store itself is the sort of place which many people could happily spend ages just browsing around. It reminds me of the famous 'Bogey Knights' in Plymouth (UK) - anything you might possibly want is probably for sale there - odd sized nuts & bolts, second-hand office chairs, ships' propellers, fireproof safe? You'll probably find them there. But what sets this place apart is the free motorcycle display. There are classic bikes, and bits of classic bikes all over the place. I saw 3 Suzuki RE5's for a start. A Ducati Cucciolo, rare Guzzis, DKW's, a TWN, more French motorcycle makes than I knew existed, a Messerschmitt bubble car - they just go on and on. Some look like they were purchased new and have never been used, some are desperately in need of restoration or at least cleaning up a bit. It's difficult to see some of them - they might be perched up high or you can't get close because there is second hand office furniture in the way.
I believe George Taylor died a few years ago - in a way it's a shame that his collection isn't displayed in a better way as I'd happily pay to see them displayed a bit better.

OK so if you are into shopping and wearing high heels, this may not be the place for you but wow, if you are into motorbikes on any level then this is a great way to spend an hour. Well we went looking for it and what a find. Just out of Warrnambool on our way to Hopkins Falls, we came across a hardware shop on the junction of Grassmere Rd. Out front a tiny little sign advertising a vintage motorcycle collection.
Apparently the collection belongs to a local older chap who has allowed it to be displayed and looked after on the upper level of this store. Park outside and walk in up the stairs and just walk around the top. The collection will sadly only get dustier as time goes on, such a lot could be done. But it is free with a donation box at the top of the stairs which goes towards the primary school. So not only will this keep you busy for awhile, you can also get any sort of rural supplies there along with a pair of gumboots.
They do a bit of trading so there are a surprising number of things on display up there... some for sale, some not. There were quite a few things I could have taken if only they didn't have to go interstate. Take the 4WD!
A pleasant distraction in an area that is really devoid of much to do unless you have little kids. We even got extreme satisfaction in being stuck at the road junction for the local farmers cows to cross over for milking. Almost the highlight of the day.
