Not disable friendly, there's alot of steps heading to beach, the water is deep in most parts. You have to pay for parking which is $20TT per vehicle.

Macqueripe Beach feels like a secluded natural oasis that you stumbled upon while hiking or boating. This is especially true during the week--weekends are typically overcrowded but a great place to meet locals and understand the local culture. It's located by the military base and was originally used for docking submarines, so it is ideal for those looking to explore the deep waters and nearby caves along the coves. If you're bored with swimming or lazying around in the shallow, there's a zipline and obstacle course up the ramp, road cycling and mountain biking trails, various hiking trails, scuba, nearby monkeys, the Bamboo cathedral (a set of bamboo trees that fall into natural cathedral arches), and much more. Like I said, a natural oasis. The caveat--you have to pay $20 TTD to park your car or you can park outside and walk in. There is also a and $2TTD charge to use the restroom/shower/changing facilities. A nearby food stand in the parking lot sells snacks, drinks, etc. I highly recommend this place.

Waren nur kurz dort! Naturbelassen und dahinter der Urwald! Sehr schmutzig!

There is a big car park, but once you have walked for a few minutes down a well maintained path, there are no hotels or anything selling anything within sight. The only sort of building is the life-guard's platform. It is in a small and pretty bay with vegetation all around. Looking out of the bay, you can see Venezuela.

The beach is a mix of sand and very small pebbles. I had no problems with the pebbles, but if you have sensitive feet, you could put on plastic shoes. The water is shallow enough for children to play near the edge and then it gets deep quickly enough for a swim. It is no good for surfing or jumping in waves, as you can only just feel the up and down movement of the ocean.

I loved it!

The only way in is through a guarded barrier. Wonderful first impression for those concerned about their safety.
Lifeguards disappear at 530pm, but they still charge the full "parking fee" (wink wink) until 559 PM. Entry is free after 6pm. The "lady" at the barrier said that lifeguards are only present on weekends. Cars incur $20, as opposed to maxis (apparently, not the pads, but mini buses).
The people at the barrier love to point at the signs about pricing, but completely neglect to fill out the sign about bathing conditions, such as visibility, waves, sunset time, etc. That's because it takes specialized knowledge and sophisticated equipment to get that information.
From the parking lot to the beach is a hard climb back up about 100ft of concrete walkway. The beach itself is small and always has floating garbage, which Trinis love adding to by throwing More garbage in the water, especially plastic and beer cans.
Beware that there are NO lights at the beach. This of course doesn't stop scores of people coming to gain free access once the police post vacates. Safe huh ?
If you're at the beach and looking for a bathroom or changing area, be prepared for the hike (about 100 ft above you), then pay for a wonderful experience, which also closes at 6 PM. I guess that's why people often go into the surrounding bushes.
If you're bringing children, please bear in mind that unlike every other lifeguard tower in the world, this one has no direct ramp on to the beach. So your child could be drowning 10 ft in front of them, and they have to pass around people playing football and a large fallen tree on the beach before they can reach them. This lifeguard tower was actually relocated and took 2 years to construct. Not to worry, the lifeguards have every bikini under careful scrutiny. And the smell of marijuana should get your kids hungry in no time. And loud car sound off competitions should keep them dancing while being watched on camera.
Beware of broken glass in the car park. Also beware of the undisclosed water source dumping into the beach. Its not a heavy flow, but people love to wash their feet in it. Who knows where the water comes from, but there's a sign saying the water is "not fit for consumption". Hope your kids could read that.
There is a cafeteria by the car park but it's all food for those that dont mind adding to their obesity.
Overall, this beach is worth visiting to verify whether my review is accurate. Bring your garbage to add to the mess, bring money to be extorted by the CDA (highly educated Park Police, wink wink). Dont bring footwear, like I did, so that your feet can get sliced by broken rum bottles in the car park.
This is the only beach you have to pay to access, and it's totally worth it ! Because if it's free the type of people that may go there, might actually be worse. Good job CDA ! If only you could do that for the rest of the park.

It was a place for submarines in the old days, so the water gets deep fast. There's not much of a beach as the high tide goes so high up. It does have a nice walkway to get to the beach as well as small zip line courses.

Macqueripe Beach is not like most beaches. You have to walk down many steps with your food and drinks, swim and then trek back up the steps to the car park.

La spiaggia può sembrare una delle varie spiagge contornata da alte palme ma...facendo un bagno ed allontanandosi un po' da riva...si possono ammirare tanti pesci e dei bei fondali.
