Ana a superb guide! Peter is an excellent skipper! Both very friendly. Golden frog Number 1!!

We travelled with Ana and Peter today for 3 hours and explored Skadar Lake together. They were the best. We saw herons, cormorants as well as wonderful water lillies, and even tasted some water chestnuts!!!

Simply great from start to finish.

Great trip! The team here accommodated our last minute request and thanks to Chelleflife for sharing! Really appreciated the effort made, Matea and Petr ( guide and captain) were fantastic! Couldn’t recommend them enough!!

Informative, fun and friendly

We had a fantastic experience with the Golden Frog Boat company from start to finish. I made an inquiry via Instagram and was sent so much information via WhatsApp. Ivana was so helpful sharing information about the best route, where to park and all the boat trips. On arrival, Anna and the team were so friendly and on the boat, Matea (our guide) and Pieter (our captain) were brilliant. Our little 6 year old was even allowed ‘drive’ the boat and it made his day! No question was too small. Matea had all the local knowledge. They had cold drinks on board which was great and we even stopped for a swim which was really refreshing. Higher recommend!

Marija and Captain Peter are absolutely wonderful !

We took a 2h tour with a great Guide who took the time to explain everything and talk with us in excellent English!
A top pilot who was able to get close to the Pelicans!
Thank you for these beautiful memories and this beautiful water lily necklace!
We highly recommend!

Discovering Lake Shkodra

Among the surprises to see in Montenegro, in addition to the magnificent Durmitor National Park, there is in Lake Shkodra which outlines the border between Albania and Montenegro. We, also driven by the great reviews, opted for an hour and a half tour with Gold Frog. We had the honor of having very knowledgeable and extremely nice and outgoing guides. I highly recommend taking a ride with small boats or even kayaks, as it allows you to experience authentically the natural part of the lake.

I don't have words to thank you for everything. We got the boat tour "tour of sunset" for 2h starting at 6:30, which lasted even longer. The price was fair and there is the possibility to pay by card, the part is paid the entrance to the park €5 per person. The appointment was made on the same day of the whatsapp tour with Ivana and the communication was quick and effective. Lake Skadar is stunning, rich in fauna, flora and stunning landscapes.Ana (our guide) and the captain were 5 stars, super friendly, kind, acquainted with the lake and experts in capturing the best moments (I have so many breathtaking photos and videos on my mobile). Both super genuine people and still left us by car at the train station (we went by bus and did not know that the station was not in the same area as the bus stop).

Golden Frog Boat Cruise Virpazar Review

Today, I had the pleasure of taking a trip with Golden Frog, a boat provider recommended by Lonely Planet. They are one of the few providers on the lake where you can prebook your slot. It was an absolutely fantastic two-hour experience, and I was moved by the beauty of the lake. It embodies both simplicity and complexity, with nature in abundance. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Ivanka, the proprietor's daughter, suggested we come over early and start the tour at 9 AM – morning is perfect for this beautiful experience. The driver of the boat, born and raised in the local fishing village, is committed to his community and craft. A special word for our host, a young 16-year-old, who blew me away with her professionalism. Often on these tours, people talk too much, but not this young lady. Hats off to her for being so passionate about her country and doing an excellent job.
I suspect some of the boats on this lake are not regulated and fully licensed, but this one is and I can not recommend Golden Frog enough – wonderful experience and we have some fantastic pictures – my own daughter is 16 and this was a winner for her also – just super.

VIP treatment with guided tour, nice wine, and swim experience.

Thank You for the nice 🚢 boattrip. Anna and Peter are very nice, sweet, happy guides. They gave nice information and explained us the local traditions.
Nice swim experience between waterlelies and lovely rosé wine.
We will recommend golden frog in Belgium. We hope that Anna will remember the fairytale of the waterlelies and the seaman jokes.

1 hour private trip around the Lake

Lovely 1 hour private trip around Lake Skadar with my wife. It cost €20pp plus €5pp for Lake tax. Our host, Anna and skipper, Petr, were fantastic at showing us some of the Lakes' amazing scenery within a 1 hour window. Anna was so good at providing historical knowledge as well as an in-depth understanding of the local nature we could see.

Highly recommend visitors take a trip.
