Hi there From Sydney the quickest and most convenient way is by car. If you don't have a car then you would need to catch a train from Central to Newcastle, then a bus out to Anna Bay. We are a 10 minute walk from the bus stop. If it is only light showers then conditions are excellent for sandboarding as wet sand is smooth and fast. If it is pouring rain we would cancel, and you would be entitled to a full refund. Kind Regards Ana

Hi there With our company you come to our meeting point at Anna Bay. From here you travel to the dunes in one of our 4wd vehicles, it is a 10 minute ride there, then 10 minutes return. Once on the dunes an instructor will meet you and teach you the correct method of Sandboarding. You can then stay and play as long as you wish, with shuttles going roughly every 15-20 minutes. We also have a picnic area with shade tables and chairs so you can sit and relax and bring your food and drinks. Babies are welcome to go up to the dunes as well, we like to make it an inclusive activity for all family members. The only time we would not recommend bringing an infant is during windy weather, as during strong winds we can’t provide sufficient barrier from the sand and infants can get upset. Hi Judy To get to Anna Bay by public transport you have 2 options: a train from central then a bus from Newcastle which brings you right to Anna Bay, but it is a very long trip, around 5.5 hours. The other option is a coach service which operates between central and port Stephens but it only operates once per day... Port Stephens to Sydney in the morning then back in the afternoon. If you just want to visit us for the day, the best option is to hire a car, much easier and the quickest way, also so you can see other sights around Port Stephens :) Hope this helps kind regards Ana
